Have tried a dozen things from here and have yet to be disappointed. We wake up early to get there right as they open. Everything is delicious and baked perfectly.
Prices are a bit high but anyone that’s tried to make laminated dough would know why they charge what they do.
Edit to add: last few weeks they seem to have hired new staff & quality hasn’t been as consistent. Got a Boston crème cruffin and the crème filling was curdled, taste and texture like scrambled eggs. Growing pains are understandable. with the prices they charge, it is a bit disappointing to get one that’s not edible.

Didn’t plan on coming here. Couldn’t walk by without going in…. Then boom
Went in and knew I could not leave without a treat.
We opted for the freshly baked ham and cheese croissants they were still hot! They were insanely buttery. I think the bake on the croissants is a bit light and could be in the oven a bit longer.
The shop is little, cute and tidy.
Service was warm and efficient

Small bakery in the heart of Hallowell with amazing croissants and baked goods. There were samples available for their cheese bread and we were also offered a taste of the almond croissant. We ended up with a massive variety of items ranging from cruffins to a ham and cheese croissant- all absolutely amazing and were not disappointed. Be prepared to pay for the quality. We will be back!

What a welcome addition to Hallowell’s downtown!
Croissants are great, way more options than you need if you like sweet breakfast pastries. Ham and Cheese croissant is a stand out. Croissant sandwiches or Bacon Egg and Cheese also delight.
Pastries superior to the bread options. Worth the trip, detour or stumble upon.

This bakery made my wedding anniversary very special. I requested a specific French pastry and she was kind enough to accommodate. The baked goods were amazing, the staff was incredibly friendly and I can’t wait to visit again.

This place is amazing – best pain au chocolate I’ve had outside of France. Get there early, though – there will be a line – but it’s definitely worth the wait!!

Stopped in on a Thursday morning for the first time and got a Smores Cruffin, Boston Cream Cruffin, and a Pain au Chocolate. As I’m writing this writing this we haven’t eaten the chocolate croissant yet, but I didn’t want to forget to write a review. The cruffins were AMAZING. The pastry shell was crunchy and flaky and soft all at the same time. And the pastry cream, especially in the Smores cruffin, was so lovely I wish I just had it in a bowl. What a treat to have locally. We’ll be back!
