Perhaps this is more of a “locals” hangout (we were first timers here and felt a bit out of the loop). But the food was great! The whiskey marinated steak was flavorful and cooked absolutely perfectly. All the food was so good!

The Christmas decor in the large meeting room was absolutely amazing! I ordered a whiskey steak and asked for it medium. It was closer to well done which was a bummer but the service for such a large group was great!

Visiting SD from UK we were looking for authentic USA. Charlys is just that. From the George Strait Bud Lite sign to MNF on the TV. Chatting to one couple they told us they drove 20 miles for their meal (on a Monday).
A good selection of fried food, entrees and burgers. Local delicacies such as gizzards and Rocky Mountain Oysters
Friendly service.
Local beer, including tall glasses, plus cocktails and spirits.

Surprise, rode find. My wife had stuffed shrimp and I had the steak special. Very rarely to I order steak at a restaurant. For some reason I did and it was absolutely perfect. I have paid a great deal more at fancy places to have way less quality. The price for this piece of meat was more than reasonable and cooked perfectly.

I asked for my steak Medium Rare, came out more med well well done. I suffered through some of it. My husband had liver and onions, was done like shoe leather. I think the cook needs to go on you tube to figure temperatures out. Everything else was good.

Mediocre, overpriced steak. Waitress that had to be reminded multiple times to bring items that were included in the meal cost (salad, veg, bread that never arrived). Basic local bar with dining area.
