The gps tracker showed my driver leaving and going to another stop before mine which is normal, but then the driver went back to store for 20 minutes while still having my food in the car. Tried calling the shop to get an update twice, no answer both times. I was waiting outside for the order, gps still showed the driver at the store so I went inside, watching the gps to see when the driver left, since I could not get in touch with the store. Driver shows up, gps says he is still at the store… I should have put “do not use doorbell” (my mistake) although I was waiting for the
Driver out side for 15 minutes so it wouldn’t happen, I expressed my frustrations to the driver who seemed more interested in being a therapist “trying to make me happy” instead of listen to what I was saying. I had to ask for my food 3 maybe 4 times… He was trying to perform some odd version damage control rather than giving me my food. After finally getting my food, it was TERRIBLE!
The pizza taste horrible, BBQ chicken. Looked good but tasted sour. Probably the sauce.
The boneless wings were soggy , no surprise there. The breadsticks were flat, also tasted like trash. The only “decent” item with the cinnamon sticks. An absolutely worthless $70 in food. $80 with tip… I won’t be ordering from here again.
Just to be clear, I don’t free food, refund, comps etc. I just want you to know how terrible your service was and that Pizza Hut should anticipate losing more business if this is what is considered acceptable.
My journey brought me to Hastings, just a stone’s throw from Minneapolis. The building itself proudly displays a plaque honoring the rich history and significance of the Classic experience.
Upon entering the restaurant I was floored by the retro decor and flooded with nostalgia and memories of my childhood. I was greeted by a very friendly employee Samuel, who told me to have a seat anywhere and he would take my order even though they typically do counter service. The menu itself was printed to have a retro feel and included some classic options that aren’t offered at most standard locations.
I ordered a deep dish pizza and breadsticks were offered free with dine in purchases so of course I could not say no! The breadsticks were perfect and tasted exactly like they did in 1986! The pizza was good but could’ve spent a little more time in the oven as it was doughy in the middle and the cheese wasn’t entirely melted. I didn’t mind as I was planning on taking it home to toss in the oven for dinner that night anyway.
I decided to bring my Land Before Time Pizza Hut branded dinosaurs that I acquired as kiddo in the 80’s with me for a photo shoot. Samuel was so nice and made me feel perfectly normal for dining alone with a herd of rubber dinosaur puppets.
Overall my experience was great! The service and atmosphere were top notch! The food was good but that deep dish could’ve used some extra time in the oven.
I highly recommend checking out this location if you want to take a pizza trip back in time!
There’s no table service. There was a sign to seat yourself, but no host to show us to a table. Instead, we were asked to place our order right away with no overhead menu – luckily the staff said there were menus behind the seat yourself sign, so we grabbed a few and sat down. Prices aren’t listed on the menu, so bring your phone to scan the QR code for those.
We later went up to place our order and learned they didn’t have an ingredient that two of our pizzas needed. Luckily our kids were flexible in choosing an alternative topping.
The food came out hot, but don’t expect to get any plates (we had to eat on napkins or the box itself…) or even Parmesan cheese – we had to later purchase our own because the packets had been recently thrown away from being past their expiration date. Oh and there’s no fountain machine, so expect to pay for not only bottles of soda and but also water.
We were expecting a nostalgic experience but left disappointed at every turn. Sad to not be visiting again.
Obsessed. As obsessed as you can be with fast
