Social Profile:

We are a restaurant that combines Asian flavors and cajun seafood. Our Chinese dishes are learned from Chinese senior chefs and from my mother’s home cooking. The cajun specialty seafood is an original recipe created by me through countless experiments. Hope you all enjoy our cooking.

Hong Kong-style dim sum spot also serving pad Thai & various Asian specialties in simple surrounds.

This I would say is a hidden gem. My second time visiting in 3 days. I believe I found a new favorite drink Mango Avocado Sago!!! The grilled skewers are amazing tried 3 new ones this trip. Had the Szechuan PorkSpareRib Noddle Soup and would rank it in my top dishes. If you are ever in the area and get a chance give this place a try.

Ever since before the pandemic, I have been visiting this establishment relatively frequently since it’s difficult to find a Chinese BBQ spot in the Twin Cities, and as much as it used to give me a stomachache almost every time, it was worth it because the food is very authentic and I would recommend it to those seeking Chinese BBQ, even though it also has cajun style seafood options available, which I have had before as well.

My friend and I returned here earlier this year and it was my first time going there since the pandemic, and I am happy to say that I think they have maintained their food quality. I didn’t even get a stomachache this time, which meant that their meat kebabs were not undercooked anymore, which was for sure a good thing. I don’t have anything specific to recommend because when it comes to Chinese BBQ, it’s really just a “whatever you feel like” type of situation based on your preference, but I can safely say that pretty much everything I have had was a hit in authentic ways. Not the best spot I have ever been to for this kind of cuisine, but great regardless given how scarce Chinese BBQ is here.

Hopefully this can at least help some know that they can come here for authetic Chinese BBQ, at least!

Total hidden gem. Yes, it’s a restaurant with an identity problem as they serve multiple types of food so I’m reviewing the Chinese food. I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for some time and it didn’t disappoint. We got multiple skewers including the spicy pork belly and Taiwan sausage. Also got the scallion pancake which is a definite must order. The pancake is large and thin but only 1 part order so make sure you get one for everyone at the table. Best I’ve had in the metro. The fried tofu were amazing – I could eat 2 orders by myself. We also got the beef noodle soup, chicken congee and HK instant noodles. All very good. I’m coming back!

The Cajun House is so good and has so many unique different types of foods that you cannot find on any other restaurants menu in the area. I recently stopped in and had the soft shell crab and fried frog legs. Both were excellent. Great seasoning on the batter. Great portions for the price. They also have a great selection of specialty drinks and beer to choose from. Service was quick and friendly.

I’ll be going back soon to try some of the more unique menu items like spicy pork brains, intestines soup, and pork feet. If you’re an adventurous eater like me, check out their menu.

Only because I cant give a 10 out of 5!!!!
AWESOME:
—> SERVICE – quick and efficient without being overbearing
—> FOOD
—> PORTIONS
—> VERY “reasonably” priced!!! The “meal” I had? $53.00 – VERY reasonable in my view……the price of two sandwiches at a place I frequent often – established 1958 (since I cant name them here) and this is MUCH better – more bang for the buck)

Fried Vietnamese Spring roll – three – cooked to perfection

Shrimp Fried Rice – “they” DON’T “skimp” on the shrimp – very flavorful!!

Black Pepper Chicken – again – “they” DON’T “skimp” on the portions – very flavorful!!

Beef Kebabs – WOW!! VERY tender and flavorful!!! The steak/(beef) VERY tender and seasoned perfectly!!!

Also – this place is CLEAN – CLEAN – CLEAN!!! Quick to clean up after guest depart – the floors (to me a very good indicator of the restaurants commitment to “cleanliness”) their floors? Immaculate!!

The food is cooked to order – so it takes a little longer – but (“art”) – great cooking does – the “wait” is NOT “terrible” – I was there on a Saturday night and they did AWEOME!!!

So, if your ever in town….looking for a great place to eat? This is the place!!

Food came out quick!

So many options. I actually enjoyed the simple smashed cucumber with a sweet soy and peanuts more than anything today.

I look forward to exploring more of the menu.

When we went around 1pm there was plenty of street parking. The place is spacious. We got the medium spice house cajun sauce. Its pretty up there for me in seafood boil.

This place is in front of a somewhat busy street. We parked in front of the building, which you have to pay for the meter. The inside is very spacious, it was just us and one other group. The options are endless. Food came out pretty quick and still hot. All the food we had was good and flavorful, although it’s on the pricier side. Portion size was decent.

Poorly packed food. Leaked all over my seat.

The fried rice was almost ok, but the flavor wasn’t consistent as some bites were better than others. It’s soggy and the rice is barely fried.

Spicy fried chicken wasn’t great either. Had a weird sweet taste to it.

Spent like $60 for a seat stain and less than mediocre food.

I’ll have to pass on this place. Can get better for $20 elsewhere.
