There is adequate free street parking available.
The place was clearly designed for take-out business. Yes, there are a couple of booths available if you have no other options, but you are better off eating at home or in the car. The atmosphere is not inviting.
There are a few menus on the walls, but they do not have prices or how the combos work. Just individual words “meatloaf”, “turkey wings”, ” smothered pork chops”… Then. Separate list of sides. But not what anything cost, or how many come with a dinner.
Surprisingly, there is an extremely reasonable $5 small meal menu which is a great deal.
The food at it’s best is truly delicious. A fair portion. Well spiced and filling. All too often it is dry, over cooked, too much gristle and fat, and drowning in gravy.
At it’s worst, they are all too frequently out of product. As in out of the dozen or so entree options they will have 2-3 available at 7:30pm.
This establishment suffers from poor service. The workers range from sometimes nice, to usually robotic. You feel like they are there to take your order and collect your money. I am yet to have someone be rude. The issue comes with incompetence by messing up your order, to being out of nine of their twelve menu items and not simply telling you what they have and making you guess. You know it’s gonna happen because you watched it happen with the previous two people in front of you.
For $23 you are going to probably have a filling dinner. You will need to find a Beverage on your own.
This COULD be a great take-out establishment. What it really needs is proper management. The product has shown it can be tasty. They just can not consistently prepare it, or have it in stock. Plus teach the staff a touch of hospitality and this okay place could be fantastic.
Oh, P.S. there must have been a big menu and concept change, as there was no shawarma or Middle Eastern style dishes advertised on the menu.
