My mom and I had dinner here and loved it! We loved our waitress who helped us pick out different tins by recommending her favorites. She explained how to order and what everything was so well and was so sweet. It was so fun to try some unique fish like squid in ink! I also had oysters which were delicious. My mom tried a flight of Greek Sprits which was really fun too. I’d love to come back to try more tins!

A friend said, “Just trust me…” when she told me we were going out for tinned fish. She was so, so right. This was my most pleasantly surprising culinary experience of 2025. It’s delicious and more people need to know about it! The staff at Barbouni were fantastically helpful in guiding a newbie through all the options and how best to use the accoutrements.

We loved the smoked mackerel in chili sauce from Fishwife, the crudo small plate, and the octopus with baked feta and red sauce was the best I’ve ever had.

I’m looking forward to exploring more tinned fish varieties and the staff (who were, again, super helpful) recommended I check out the BOGO special on Thursdays.

Fish lovers must dine here! Tiny digs with perhaps the most exclusive array of conservas in Tampa Bay. The menu also features other fresh fish options, stellar cocktails, and beautiful wines to pair. The staff is sure to take care of you, offering excellent suggestions and guidance on how to tackle the menu. Reservations recommended.

For the love of all that is holy, go experience this restaurant. Every detail is immaculate. From the butter quality, to the flaky sea salt, to the marinated red onion, to the selection of tinned fish, to the width and crisp of the crostinis, everything is so thought out to create an incredible experience. We had some sardines, baccalau, and razor clams and everything tinned was delicious and tender and perfectly seasoned. Our cocktails were balanced and not too sweet, and Kaley even made us two special shots on the house for my friend’s birthday. Please support this addition to Baba so I can keep giving them all my money.

Easily my favorite place in St. Pete. Incredible service (the bartenders are my favorite – they always remember you and are friendly). All of their raw plates are delicious, fresh, clean and top quality. The drinks are just as good and unique flavor profiles. I love the sardines in the tin too!

What a discovery this is! A next level experience and so fortunate to have this in St. Pete. At first I frowned on the idea of eating tinned seafood. And then did a 180 when I tried it! What’s nice is they also serve a selection of freshly prepared raw bar seafood jic you don’t wish to try it. On that side of the menu, we chose the delicious white anchovies, and the most ah-mazing shrimp crudo that was sooo delicious. It was like buttah…and had a nice middle eastern touch to it.
We also enjoyed three tins. Mind you these are served with toast and accompaniments…butter, salts, pickled onion, parsley, lemon, and to-die-for Israeli hot sauce. YUM. We mixed and matched with smoked sardines, squid in ink, and rainbow trout jerky.
Add in a glass of Portuguese white wine and a house Baba cocktail, and it all made for a wonderful “we’re kind of in Europe vibe” with outstanding service as well.
It’s a super quaint spot attached to Baba, and also has its own adorable patio to enjoy al fresco dining as well!
