The food is overly price to be bland in taste and room temperature. Then they charge 2.49 for a cup of kool-aid. There is additional charge for dessert. They give you 1 meat and 2 sides. However they shake the spoon so the food can fall off. So they’re actually giving you half portions . If you ask for more they charge you for that. I gave service 3 because of Cookie if not for him it would have been 1 star also

We had the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, lemonade, baked chicken, rice and gravy and sweet tea. It was some of the best food I had in a while. It was definitely busy in there. Come on by and get you some great food.

The food was WRONG!!! Meat was salty and sides were not good. Best thing was the cornbread. Tasted everything and put the rest in trash. This has to be what gave me food poisoning. I was very disappointed to receive horrible soul food in Mississippi. My mom tossed her plate in trash also after tasting it.

This has been of the best meals we’ve had our road trip in the south. It’s basically great home cooking. I enjoyed the smothered pork steak – best I’ve ever had – with yams, cabbage and cornbread. My sons enjoyed the fried chicken and catfish. There was a bit of a wait, but only because it’s obviously very popular for both people coming in to dine and even more getting their lunch to go. How busy it was reassured us we’d made a good choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If you want authentic southern home cooking- treat yourself to a stop here!

This place feels like home! The food reminded me of a cozy home-cooked meal, full of flavor and comfort. The service was outstanding! friendly staff who truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. And the coconut cake? Absolutely divine! Every bite was a treat. I’m definitely coming back before I leave Mississippi. If you’re looking for down-home Southern food, this spot is a must-visit!

1st timer here my mom & I! My mom got dressing & chicken. I was Next. I asked for the same w/mac & cheese.
The short dark-skinned server had a Very nasty attitude & Tone w/my mom. As if my mom was a regular customer. My mother told her what she wanted & that woman kept saying, the dressing was a side cause my mom had 3 in all.
My mom didn’t care, I guess she thought she couldn’t afford it or something! I had to tell that rude individual that this was our 1st time there. We were visiting from another state.
So she also, told me there was NO MORE dressing, nor baked chicken, nor macaroni & cheese. So I had to change my entire order to their Bland-can-good taste Yams, pork steak, & greens.
But to make matters worse, in less than 10min later, I see everything that woman stated they were out of, that I asked for, on customers plates who were after me! THIS IS 1 SPOT IN CLEVELAND, MS- WE WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN!!

The new country platter is alot different and more pricer, drinks are NOT included with lunch specials (PAY SEPARATE) and only 2 sides. Rice was a bit under cooked. They do have a large selection of food though but be prepared to send $20 or more….
