First time trying out the new food truck in Dripping Springs and I’m so glad they’re here! I was quite hungry so I ordered the pork belly poke bowl (yum) the Mac salad (yum) and also the hurricane tots (also yum) This place packs the flavor in an easy setting (off 290 behind the cultural hub) the portions were big and beautiful (I have leftovers) and the folks were super cool and helpful. I’m looking forward to going back for more.

Well Damn that’s good. I dropped in and grabbed Kalua pork and the Hurricane tots. I’ll tell you what, that’s a flavor bomb!!!! The pork has so much flavor and juiciness. Don’t get me started on the hurricane tots, this is what dreams are made of. Just monster flavor. I will be back for more and more!!!!

If you are looking for the real deal Hawaiian in the hill country this is the place to go. Its a little hard to find back in the trees, but once you find it it’ll make you feel like your back on Oahu. The short ribs and Kalua pork were both excellent and the mac salad is right on the money. Looking forward to going to back to try other things. Ono grinds!

Howz’it Hawaiian Grill is the hidden gem of Dripping Springs! Now at the Dog and Bone Pub with live , it’s the perfect chill spot. The Kalua Pork Plate with rice (the true MVP!) is unforgettable, the Huli Huli Chicken brings sweet heat, and the tots + mac salad are island-style perfection. Go once and you’ll be hooked—you’ll want to try the whole menu! ✨

Overall really solid place. I had the Mochiko chicken with a side of their dressed tater tots and Mac and cheese salad. The chicken was tender and juicy and they had a sweet sauce to put on it which was yummy. The tater tots were crispy with good flavor and not too much condiment as well. Then the Mac and cheese salad I really enjoyed as it was room temperature which is how I think a Mac and cheese salad should be and it was very flavorful and the texture was perfectly soft and gooey. The guy running the stand was super nice and the atmosphere was very pretty with the nice live music making it even better. It was a great experience and will definitely be keeping this place in my thoughts.

I add jalapeños en escabeche to make the pulled pork plate into corn tortilla tacos and to the pulled pork sandwich lunch special. This makes a perfect cross-cultural foodie fusion! ¡Buen provecho!

It’s a little hard to find, but totally worth it when you do. I was blown away with how tasty the food was. We tried the beef ribs and the chicken. Both were so flavorful, tender and delicious. If you’re familiar with L&L Hawaiian or Q&Q Hawaiian BBQ, then just imagine that but with better ingredients and more tender meat. That’s what this place is. My only (small) critique is that it’d be nice to have the meat on a bed of steamed cabbage.
This will be my go to spot for Hawaiian good. So glad to have such a good spot near Dripping.

We’ve been here a few times and really love this place. I haven’t tried everything on the menu but the short rib plate (with rice and Mac salad) is my favorite so far. We order in advance, pick up the food and eat at the picnic tables outside. If you’ve never tried Hawaiian food in general (I hadn’t before coming here), you owe it to yourself to do so!
Beyond just it tasting great- Portions are generous for the price, everything is freshly made, and the owner is really nice.
Only heads up is that there’s no drinks (no water, no soda) for sale due to an arrangement they have with the proprietors next door- bring your own water if the place next door is closed.
