We found Uoko searching for a new sushi spot and so glad we did. The hand rolls are what makes me keep coming back. Not come shaped and fish all the down to the last bite. Fresh and consistent in quality and presentation. Everyone is super friendly and let’s talk about the coldest mugs of Sapporo. Ice forms on the glasses and there’s a little iceberg of beer floating when it comes to your table. We love Chris and all the staff there. Even if there’s a wait, it’s totally worth it and our go to place for sushi now. Highly recommend!

The people are friendly, the sushi is good, chicken in the dinner combo could be cooked a little more, just me. Not too happy seated and waited for menus when there were open tables, then had soup without spoon, went and grabbed myself. Overall okay, it got busy here.

As soon as you walk in, you can tell that this place is authentic. Very family-oriented and cozy atmosphere with FRESH and delicious food. The staff know their regulars and are so incredibly kind. I’m just here for a short visit but am so impressed. I can’t believe this little slice of Japan doesn’t have thousands of positive reviews already! Such a gem!

I’m always looking for a great sushi place that feels like Japan and isn’t like $200 a person. This place is so affordable and fantastic quality. I only ever write reviews if a place is above and beyond amazing or below and beyond horrible. So… this place is the fab.

A wonderful little sushi dive in the area of the hotels. This is my third trip in and the food has been very fresh and extremely consistent. There is no fancy styling on my plate, just fresh sushi roles.
made quick and good. always busy when I above been at this place. We went with two rolls, one rainbow, and one spicy salmon. very good and nice size. Very simple decor and very busy sushi chefs. I loved the women serving us as I ordered, She only let us order what she thought we would eat.

Came for lunch on a weekday, and service was fast. They have a sushi bar area, regular seating, and booth seating near the entrance. We opted for two lunch combos to try, and both were good. Loved that their raw fish and sushi were pretty fresh, and the owner was super friendly and nice. The only suggestion would be the portions, the pork chop sashimi combo was so tiny (like a kid’s meal)

Overall, love the freshness. Relatively reasonable prices compared to LA sushi places, but we do wish the portions were bigger. Worth a visit!

Our fav sushi spot in South OC. It’s a local / regulars spot and excellent if you sit at the sushi bar. But sushi bar is competitive and it’s hard to get a seat unless you arrive before opening, most days, both lunch and dinner. We usually let the chef decide what we’ll eat and it’s seriously good sushi. Very reasonably priced for the quality.

It is an unpretentious place with an immaculate execution. A perfect place for lunch or dinner. The rice and sushi is awesome. Better than in Japan. A warm towel starts you off with a salad and drink. Everything after that is wonderful, light, and super clean tastes. Best I’ve had. They show you the whole fish to show you how fresh it is. Absolute perfection. A must.

The food here is excellent !! Very authentic. Feel like we’re in Japan. Our top favorite is Gyoza – the best my husband has ever had as he said, then comes the sushi rolls, tonkatsu and udon. Definitely coming back to try more dishes here. Price is also very reasonable. The serving portion is not too big, which is great as we can try many different dishes without being too full. Highly recommended !

Really yummy place. They have a great lunch special if you sit at the bar. $18 and you can pick 5 items. They have a variety from hand rolls to cut rolls and just sushi on rice . Comes with miso soup. Delicious. And the chef makes it right in front of you! ‍ Some weird rules such as not ordering the same things more than once and no sharing. But I mean, it’s good to try a variety of things. And the 5 items definitely fill you up if you get a variety. They all came out pretty fast and they all tasted really amazing. This is a little place but it’s a great place and I did really enjoy it!!!
