I cannot say enough good things about Oscar’s! Great food and wonderful service! The slaw hog is my favorite sandwich, their brand new Brunswick stew is top notch, ribs are fantastic! You really can’t go wrong! Owners and staff are the best!

It was a warm day in early fall. I was really hungry, but didn’t want fast food from a chain setup. Searched nearby restaurants and found Oscar Williams Smokehouse in Chesterfield. I was already in Daleville, just a hop,skip and a jump away. Convenient parking is close by the small order and eat-inside (if you choose to) building. Inside, a laid back and cheerful young man who knew the menu well, provided samples of the barbecue sauces and pork I was trying to decide between. Everything sounded good. I ended up ordering a brisket with hot sauce (delicious) and a slaw hog (pulled pork with the best slaw I’ve had for a long time, maybe even ever)for which I chose bourbon BBQ sauce. And one order of cheesecake, all to go. Drove home and split the food with my son. We both found everything great!

First the good news about the ribs, they are quality meat plus they are cooked to the proper degree and they are tender. Now the not so good news, the flavor needs work. They need to have a smoky BBQ flavor. They taste too much like the farm animal and I don’t believe they use a rub. The sauce only helps a little. Not even sure they’re cooked on the grill. That takes care of the ribs, which are available most Fridays. The other BBQ is very good, pulled pork, ribeye, etc. and the sides are excellent, home made, such as the potato casserole is like no other you’ll find. The beans are a winner too.

I’ve been in this place several times and for the past 3 weeks for the ribs very very good I’ve also have had the chicken the brisket and ribeye and Brunswick stew all very very good no problem here very good atmosphere the guys that work there have a good attitude very friendly I have not not had anything bad here if you like bbq I highly recommend this place

Stopped here with my family and this is hands down the BEST food! We had pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, ribeye steak sandwich, southwest potato casserole, baked beans, and green beans. Everything was cooked perfectly! We will definitely be back soon!

The brisket was over-smoked and under-barked. And very inconsistent. One bite was just bland beef, next piece was super acrid smoke, and it was either falling apart (wrong) or tough (also wrong). They have potential, but their trimming, seasoning, and especially fire management needs work for sure.

It’s a simple place that you can sit outside to eat if you want. I go to get the delicious pork and take it home. You won’t be disappointed with the food but there is no indoor seating and it is not opened often. I would check the times before I would go
