Absolutely the best sushi I’ve had in Massachusetts. Exceptional quality for the price, and the customer service is just as great. Everything that I’ve ordered has been good, but I stick to their Salmon Maki, Shrimp Tempura Maki, Ichiban, and Crab Rangoons.

Outstanding quality, absolutely reasonable price with the quality of food that you will receive from this place. Never failed, never disappointed. This is one and the only sushi restaurant that can always delivers consistent, well expected, above-standard food quality and service. Wish we had discovered this place much sooner. I was so impressed with the quality and the volume of the sushi and sashimi the first time I ordered from Ocean Sushi. I couldn’t believe how generous the owner was. Since then, Ocean Sushi became THE restaurant I ALWAYS order from whenever I have a party at home or when I need to bring food to another party. The quality has been very consistent. All my friends appreciate and enjoy the food from this restaurant. I believe that it takes a genuine and thoughtful person to make food like I have had in Ocean Sushi. I will always recommend this restaurant to sushi lovers.

Fresh sushi ingredients and they aren’t stingy with the meat. We got the lunch maki specials that comes with 2 choice of sides for a total of ~$40. The miso soup is quite watered down, if you’re not getting it as a complimentary I wouldn’t recommend ordering it on its own.
It’s located in the Oak Grove Ave area with free street parking. Only downside is this place no longer serve dine in, takeout only. They do have a few tables outside for seating. The hostess is really nice and friendly, she came outside to bring us extra napkins and utensils. Definitely will come back to try out other food items!

I highly recommend their lunch special. For $20, you get excellent value, including three maki rolls and two side dishes. However, please note that seating is not available, so this is a takeout-only establishment.

Best sushi around! The spicy tuna rolls are 10/10, we’d even say they’re the best ones we’ve ever had! The staff is super nice and they always send out a great quality meal! This is our go-to sushi place and we recommend to everyone we know.

Been ordering poke from here for the past 2 years. This is probably the only place where I can trust the quality of their sashimi. And I appreciate the huge slabs of the fish! You have to give this place a try if you’re in the area 🙂

After finishing a hike around a local mountain, I saw this sushi place was a 26 minute walk. Although that seemed like a far walk, it turned out to actually be worth it. The sushi was so good I didn’t even need the dipping sauce. The Miso soup was pretty solid but slightly different than the West Coast variety. The salad was a salad. He gave me an umbrella for outside as I sat and ate along with a complimentary water bottle because he saw I was pretty burnt out from all the hiking. The inside looked pretty nice but they clearly weren’t sitting indoors at that our if at all. Overall, I would come back if I lived here. Solid place.

The best sushi in the Melrose/Malden region. We have been living in the region for almost a year now and this place has become our staple because of the fresh sushi/sashimi and good size cuts of fish. The owners are really friendly and they have always provided any extras they we requested. Definitely recommend this place. Bang for your buck.
