My wife and I ordered two pints from Handel’s and I’m pretty sure they delivered them by rocket sled, because they showed up super fast. Like I barely had time to pretend I wasn’t going to eat the whole pint in one sitting fast. Everything arrived cold, perfect, and ready to ruin my self control.
I got the Banana Cream Pie, and let me tell you, this one is a full on dessert experience. The banana flavor is smooth and natural, not that fake candy banana vibe, with that rich custardy creaminess that tastes like it was made by someone’s grandma who takes pie extremely personally. It’s sweet without being over the top, and it has that fresh bakery dessert feel, like banana pudding and pie filling had a baby and that baby grew up to be an overachiever. Every bite tastes like comfort food, but upgraded.
My wife got the Blue Monster, and it was the total opposite vibe in the best way. Fun, bold, and straight up addictive. It’s got that bright sweet blue flavor you hope it’s going to be, nostalgic and kind of like a happy throwback to childhood treats, but it’s still super creamy and not thin or icy at all. The mix ins make it feel like a party in a pint. Every bite has something going on, and it’s the kind of flavor that makes you say okay one more bite about 47 times.
And here’s the thing, both were legitimately top notch. The texture is creamy and rich, the flavor is big in the best way, and it tastes like they do not cut corners. Plus, the price is honestly reasonable compared to other ice cream shops where you pay premium money for meh ice cream and vibes. Handel’s is giving you premium quality without making your wallet feel personally attacked.
Also real talk, I wish I could go back in time and personally thank Alice Handel for creating this delicious gift to the world. Like, I don’t know the proper historical etiquette here, but I’d absolutely give her a heartfelt thank you and a respectful comedic mwah on the cheek for setting the standard this high.
Bottom line, fast delivery, fair price, insane quality, and flavors that actually deliver what they promise. We are 100 percent ordering again, and next time we are probably accidentally getting extra pints, because clearly we cannot be trusted.

Everyone is incredibly nice! Service is 10. If you’re not sure about the flavor, they let you try them! They were out of one of my favorites, but the alternative they offered may be even better!! Best ice cream I’ve ever had. Super thick and flavorful. Prices are great too!!

This was my first time visiting Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream while out of town, and my experience was excellent. I received wonderful customer service from the moment I walked up to the window. I had a great interaction with Tod, the store owner, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. He let me sample two delicious flavors — Coffee Chocolate Chip and Spouse Like A House — and both were amazing.
I ended up ordering a brownie sundae, and it did not disappoint. The ice cream was rich, the brownie was warm, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. Because of how great my first experience was, I will absolutely be returning. I’m already looking forward to trying more flavors!

The prices are fair for what you get (which is hard to find) and I’ve enjoyed just about all of the flavors. Tonight, however…Handel’s singlehandedly put my diet at risk. I’ve been cutting back on sugar and, until today, haven’t had anything sweet I’ve craved enough to put that at risk. The Chocolate Raspberry Truffle ice cream changed that. I only got one scoop…and I am forcing myself to not jump back in the car and get a pint. It is the most decadent, indulgent thing. The day it rotates out of their flavor line-up will be heartbreaking and a huge relief at the same time. Well played, Handel’s…well played.

Excellent my new favorite ice cream..I got the 4 flavor sampler. Silk pie flavor is chocolate, birthday cake flavor is a little too sweet for me, but the banana cream pie was just right and the blueberry cobbler was my favorite. Reasonably priced.

I was so excited to see Handel’s. It is my most favorite ice cream, and the fact that it’s so close now is amazing. There are always going to be long lines, but it’s quick and more importantly it’s worth it. Can’t wait to go back and bring home pints of all of my favorites. Pictured is a small “Ooohhh…Dough” (vanilla ice cream with cookie dough and Oreos) in a cake cone. 10/10. No notes.

The ice cream is good, but I have two criticisms. 1) There is no information available anywhere about what is in the flavors without asking an employee – not on the website or on the signs. Most of the flavor names are entirely non-descriptive as well. I want to be sure what I want before an employee is waiting on me to make a decision. 2) The cones are always stale. My girlfriend won’t eat here because the cone is important to her and the cones are always stale, whether it’s cake or sugar cones. We noticed the employees grab cones out of a box that just sits there always open. Maybe keep the cones in a sealed container? These 2 points are each worth 1 star to me, so I’m giving 3 stars for now. I will add another star for each point addressed!

At first I was put off by the lack of visuals when it came to the flavors, but Shy at the Belton location was able to nearly flawlessly describe each flavor I asked about in detail. It left me so impressed I’m leaving a review. The ice cream is good as well ofc.
