I’m not sure why this place won a sizzler? Visiting from Nashville. I honestly love Louisville. Birthplace of true spirits. However, this place is dark, uninviting and staff doesn’t know you even walked in until you flag someone down. They have an extensive cocktail list that I was ready to get down on and went through 3 choices that couldn’t be made as the bartender either didn’t know how or “don’t have the ingredients for”. Settled on the Lady D and it’s terrible. At the bar because our first two seat choices nobody visited us for service. At the bar it was dirty, unkept; and leftover lunch was the only constant (see pic) Order a salmon salad and I supposed they had to catch the salmon because 1 hour later they forgot my change of cheese choice. Hubby ordered pizza, don’t bother this is NOT their speciality unless you like a burnt bottom. If all the choices I found on trip advisor this one should be removed. If you decide to go, take one advice, Debra was our bar servicer; barely greeted, cursed at the “rush crowd” kept asking how to mix drinks without the ingredients and complained the entire time. Urgh! I wish I wasn’t so hungry, had parked and was committed at this point to eating….just paid for the food and left

Jockey Silks is a fantastic spot if you’re looking for a quiet bar with a cool, dark atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can actually have a conversation without shouting, which is a huge plus. The bartenders are top-notch—friendly, attentive, and really know what they’re doing. Whether you want a classic drink or something a little different, they’ve got you covered. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy a well-made cocktail. Highly recommend checking it out whether you’re staying at the Galt House or just looking for Urban Bourbon trail stop offs.

The food was good. The atmosphere was good. Ambiance and eats worthy of 5 stars? No, probably not. However what WAS worth 5 stars was our service! Our server Amanda was prompt and professional – a true gem. She made our evening special!!
Food-wise I had the bacon cheeseburger. Quality bacon, solid beef patty, fresh bun.

I was looking for a lounge experience with a good bourbon. This place was perfect. Hard to find. I’m the hotel 2nd floor. The barkeeps were very professional, made recommendations and were patient and attentive without being overbearing. I enjoyed the vibe. Would come back.

It’s been years since I was last in Louisville and coming to Jockey Silks was the move that made it perfect.
Came here on a whim (in part because it was easily accessible in the hotel) and it did not disappoint!
Me and my coworker easily sat at the bar, and the ambiance was solid, lighting dim but still well lit and music not too loud.
The food was alright. Nothing too fancy, essentially gastropub style food or slightly elevated bar food. Nothing was bad (so you wont be disappointed) but nothing I’d come back for specifically. That said….
The drinks and service were spectacular. Mallory was our bartender and I honestly could not have asked for a better person to take care of us. I hesitantly asked for an egg white whiskey sour, seeing that it wasn’t the standard here and she did not hesitate. In fact, she got excited and as she made it, her attention to detail, taste, and quality was evident in every step. The result was perfection. Best sour I’ve had out here and that is saying a lot. But that wasnt the end. They had my favorite beer and I was able to get a bottle of that. But she also recommended a special cocktail, the Clover Club, not on the menu but she thought I’d like it. I gave it a shot. It may be the only gin drink I will ever like. Without hesitation Mallory went searching for real berries to make sure she could make the drink to her standard and it was a flavor bomb not easily replicated.
Lastly, the cost for everything I got was more than fair, if anything maybe a disservice to the quality and service we got. I would 100% recommend visiting Jockey Silks and if at all possible, going straight to Mallory to take care of you. She will be the primary reason I come back anytime I’m in town. 1) for her service, 2) for her conversation and knowledge and 3) because you wont find a better drink anywhere else.
Thanks for the great time and looking forward to visiting again soon.

Lovely ambience and a great place for a conversation or a date. Decent selection of bourbons although they’d run out of quite a few of the ones I’d ordered. The cocktails were lacking and weren’t quite balanced out – which was a surprise. I’d say go here After dinner and drinks – more for a nightcap

Atmosphere is great and in the hotel – but basically no service – bartender is left to take care of the entire area, impossible for one person that is also making all the drinks – management should be fired and wait staff promoted to another staff member or two! Took two hours from time to sit to get the final bill (and all of this before a Cardinal game)!!! They are missing out on so much revenue from people coming in sitting down, waiting and walking out!

The staff was friendly and helpful. There were tables, booths, a bar, and lounge seating. It was very dark yet comfortable. It wasn’t too loud or too quiet. We enjoyed yummy cheese curds and fabulous Jockey Old Fashions. It was a nice place for a date.

The place was an oasis in the other wise food desert that is
the excessively priced Galt Hotel in Louisville. Bar pizzas feed two adults at $15 per. And they are great. Mixed drinks @ $12.
Great atmosphere and service. We enjoyed the veggie pizza. Highly recommended.

Stayed in Louisville three nights and found this gem of an establishment on our second night. The food, service, and ambiance was so good we went back again on our last day in town. The food at this pub is amazing, it’s maybe the best pub food that I’ve ever had and I’ve been all over the place. Angie our server/bartender, was outstanding to deal with both visits. The whole staff for that matter was great. I can’t recommend Jockey Silks Bourbon Bar highly enough, it’s a MUST visit if your in town!
