Landed here to try something different out as my husband was in the mood for dumplings. He ordered the Lamb and Onion Dumplings, while I ordered the Salt & Pepper Shrimp. Both of us ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice to share. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp was absolutely fantastic, crunchy with just a slight kick of white and black pepper, with some sautee dried red chillies which you can choose to consume or not (I did – delicious!). Hubby said his lamb and onion dumplings were very comforting but could use a little
Salt and maybe a kick of spice. The STAR of the show was the Shrimp Fried Rice – it was sooooo super comforting and delicious. Simple, yet complex in its flavors. Absolutely LOVED the shrimp fried rice and would highly recommend. The jasmine iced tea in a bottle was floral and refreshing! I definitely wanted more!

The lady who was our server seemed to be doing everything but was still super sweet and got our food out as quickly as possible. Her service was impeccable despite being the only one there!

Lastly, it’s a small and cozy outfit but it’s super cute and interesting inside. One wall spans messages and art work from diners and the other (the wall we sat near) has a really cute mural painted on it.

Overall a fantastic experience, and would definitely come back for more!

The best tasting dumplings I’ve ever had! I’m not a huge fan of pork and this place really accommodates with other meat options. The shrimp & beef were the best. The owners are so sweet as well. The environment is cute and very calm. Perfect dinner experience with either friends or family. Lastly, the prices are extremely reasonable. Better than Din Tai Fung in my opinion.

The food was ok- some of it overpriced. All the menu items were a couple dollars higher than the menu on their website. The woman who served us was very unfriendly and cold- she doesn’t know how to talk to customers and make them feel welcome. No reason to come back here.

Went to Ma’s for take out and ordered $144.27 for my family. This was my second visit as the first had been a great experience but today, was atrocious food took longer than necessary and after paying the Server a woman nearly shoved the order at me. She said it’s all here you can go now! The audacity! The poor service given to a paying customer is appalling. Never again will I visit this restaurant ever. We were in town for a meeting looking forward to a great dinner and instead were treated as an inconvenience

Good food. Vegetarian dumplings are yummy. Enjoyed the mapo tofu as well. Nice family place to eat. Located in a shopping center with a few good shops. Flavors are good. The tofu vegetable soup does not have much flavor but it is still good.

I dined at this place a couple of days ago and was served raw pork in my steamed meat buns (photo attached below). I brought this up to the waiter and he went to talk to the cook and said it was good to eat. It looked raw so I opened all the steamed buns to check if they were all raw (and yes they were all raw). Because the waiter was very adamant that the pork was not raw and okay to read, I took a bite of another steamed bun. Then the manager came a couple minutes later and told me what happened and that in fact I was correct and the pork was raw. She said that another table ordered the same dish right after me and the cook mislabeled which one was mine and the other table’s so mine was raw and the other table’s was okay. Then I said I didn’t want it and the manager still charged me for it on the check. It wasn’t until a long back and forth that she finally said she would take it off. The treatment from the workers made me feel absolutely horrible and the raw pork made me anxious and feel sick all night. If you want to go to a place that actually respects you as a customer then I don’t recommend going here.

Highly Disappointed
We decided to try this place based on the reviews while visiting Disneyland, craving some dumplings. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming at best.
The dumplings we ordered were bland and lacked any seasoning or flavor. We tried the pork soup dumplings, steamed chicken dumplings (which were honestly unpleasant), and the shrimp and pork dumplings (which we had to order as a mix since they didn’t offer shrimp on its own). None of them were worth the hype.
We also tried the beef roll, which had potential but was packed with an overwhelming amount of cilantro and barely any beef. It was hard to enjoy. The fried rice and sweet & sour pork seemed to be the highlights of the meal, though I didn’t try them myself.
We also ordered the shrimp tempura, pan-fried buns (which were much better than the dumplings but still overcooked inside), a broccoli dish, and the pancake appetizer.
Service was another issue. The waiter rushed us as soon as we sat down. There were five of us, and we were new to the menu, but he kept pressing us to order. The menu had a lot of options, so we needed a moment to decide, but he kept leaning over the table to grab empty plates instead of walking around the other side. It made the whole experience feel uncomfortable.
All in all, we spent over $160, and less than half of the dishes were decent. The frozen dumplings they sell in-store were actually better. I’m not a picky eater, but these dumplings had absolutely no flavor. We will definitely not be coming back when we’re in town again.

The food was good. I hadn’t had the beef roll in ages, and jumped on the opportunity again. It was the best part of our order.
It might be a bit understaffed, but the staff is friendly.
They had kid plates that were subdivided, which was really fun for our toddlers.

Ma’s Dumpling House is a cozy hole in the wall in the 99 Ranch plaza serving Chinese food. They may be a dumpling house, but the menu is extensive and includes more than you would think. In addition to pan-fried dumplings, we also got the onion pancake and sweet and sour fish. The fish came out first and it was my favorite thing that we got. I liked how gooey and starchy it was, and the sauce was very yummy. It’s good with steamed white rice. The onion pancake was good, but not really to my preference. It was quite chewy and I usually prefer it flakier. The pan-fried dumplings were good too, and my sister really liked them. The service was friendly and attentive. The lady came and took our empty plates without us needing to ask. Overall, Ma’s Dumpling house is a good local spot to scratch an itch for Chinese food.

I went to 4 different dumpling places before I found this one. This place has a great menu selection, having a wide variety of different food items. Also the owner is very nice and has some good jokes. If you need a place to enjoy dumplings I highly recommend this place.
