Surfer Sands is a place to get sandwiches to go while you enjoy your day at the beach. There are also picnic style tables in front, if you want to eat your yummies right away.
I have been going there for years, since they first opened. They’ve gone through a series of new owners, but they have kept the same yummy menu and make the sandwiches just the same as the first owner. I love the Turn Turtle and the Goofy Foot. The Goody Foot is a vegetarian sandwich, but I always ask them to add turkey and they gladly oblige.
The portions are filling! Definitely better than a Subway!

A+++ BEST FOOD IN LONG BEACH!
From the service to the food, nothing could have been better. The manager was working this last weekend when we stopped in. She is AMAZING!!! Knowledgeable & personable..and HILARIOUS. Thanks for the spice, you made us feel right at home.
Then we got our cheesesteak…BLOWN AWAY! Bursting with flavor that melts in your mouth. And the bread…I am addicted. So soft & fresh. We will visit Long Beach just to eat here. So glad we found you!

What a great sandwich shop! The food was amazing and fresh! The bread was incredible! Everything was layered evenly. So tasty! Great service and some jams to listen to as you eat your meal. Definitely recommend!!!

Bread is so fresh! I got the week special philly cheese steak with a creamy horseradish sauce and banana peppers! Definitely something different and was so good! The wife got the turn turtle sandwich a nice cold sandwich!

We stopped here after a long drive from Oregon and we were so hungry! Got a Cheesesteak, Tuna Sandwich, and Strawberry smoothie. Everything was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed sitting at the picnic tables listening to 60s jams. Next time we’re in town, we’ll be back!

This place makes a proper sandwich. Ingredients were fresh and the service was very friendly. We had the albacore tuna sandwich, big kahuna, bacon sandwich, and grilled cheese & ham. Everyone enjoyed their sandwiches. Can’t wait to come back and grab to go and enjoy on the beach. It was worth my money and time.

I have been devouring the WIPEOUT since High School! The produce used is always fresh & the baked bread is extremely fluffy and delicious. Definitely the #1 sandwich shope I have ever eaten at. The Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches are also a crowd pleaser.

Good sandwiches, I came and there were no people which was a plus given the fact that they have good ratings. I think they should put up pictures of what their sandwiches look like. They’re about $8 and the smoothies are $4. So I’d say a little overpriced. But still very good since everything is fresh.

Stop by every time we go to the beach. My son’s favorite place to go. Never disappoints, except this last time, we were informed they don’t make smoothies anymore. Those were the best. But we will still keep going for those sandwiches!! Love!
