Lunch with friend from elementary school days. Went on vacation especially to be with her. Menu was more than interesting. All three of us raved about the Avgolemono soup. Our friend had a salmon kabobs. I had a recommended meal. My wife truly enjoyed what she had. Our friend took pictures to send to her daughter and grandchildren so they could come eat with her at this establishment. The portions were large,not huge. Everything fresh. Highly recommend the eggplant dip. The two course meal was only $29 and all three of us seniors took home leftovers.

Taberna Burntwood – Five-star experience.
It wasn’t a big meal, but that didn’t matter. Great atmosphere, good company, excellent service, and real conversation made it memorable.
The prime rib sliders with Havarti and creamy horseradish are exceptional, especially paired with a Pine Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon. This photo is from my third visit for the same trio—consistency counts.
On all three visits, the greeting at both the door and the bar was authentic and sincerely inviting. Joseph was a true professional: attentive, engaging, and polished.
Can’t wait to go back.

Our server Gabriel was great – true professional, manager Cyndy was incredible – she was running around helping everyone the entire time, what a hard worker! Food was good, salmon was great, we will try branzino next time. The dessert, beignets, was the best, better than in New Orleans!

Great spot to check out in Mercado for dinner. Waitstaff were very accommodating, knowledgeable with recommendations & atmosphere was nice. They have indoor/outdoor seating with open air walls separating along with a centered bar that expands from inside to outside in middle of dining area. We ordered the zucchini app, grilled chicken sandwich, bread service & salmon salad. All cooked nicely & fresh. Was not a fan of lemon vinaigrette on salmon salad or the bread service we paid for though. Overall nice experience.

A wonderful espresso martini. The atmosphere and ambience were great. It was busy, but the outdoor seating was nice and great for people watching. We will definitely return.

5 Stars – A hidden gem in Mercato!
We had such a cool experience at Taberna Burnt Wood Tavern in downtown Naples. It’s right in Mercato, and the vibe is exactly what you’d hope for—trendy yet warm, with a rustic charm that makes you want to linger. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and while we sat inside this time, I wish we had grabbed one of the cozy outdoor tables!
The atmosphere inside was fantastic—dim lighting, warm wood accents, and music playing at the perfect volume. (I love when restaurants get that right—enough to set the mood, but not so loud you have to shout over your wine.)
We were seated quickly in a comfy booth and had a super sweet waitress who made us feel well taken care of. Speaking of wine—the wine list was impressive, and the glass I ordered was excellent.
Now let’s talk food. We started with the short rib poutine, and wow. Crispy fries, melty cheese curds, rich gravy, and that tender short rib… it was indulgent and absolutely worth it. (Check out the photo—it tasted even better than it looks!)
For my entrée, I had the half chicken with purple mashed cauliflower potatoes and roasted veggies. The chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the presentation was just beautiful—vibrant colors and an elegant plate that made the meal feel extra special.
All in all, this is one of my favorite meals I’ve had in Mercato. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

We came here for my birthday and our server was Grace. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions plus she was very nice. The food was SOOOO GOOD!! We really enjoyed our meal and our service. I definitely recommend coming here for a visit!!

My group had a very nice experience here. We dined on the patio and enjoyed the live music at Mercato during dinner. The food was excellent. Two of my party had the Rigatoni dishes and two had burgers/sandwiches. Food was great all around. The restaurant’s redesign is very well done–it still has a bit of the tavern vibe, but very modern and updated. It’s a really good choice for dinner in North Naples, especially for outdoor dining.

I went to the restaurant my first time since they changed their menu. Oh my my the food there is delicious everything is so good appetizer, entree the cocktails, and the service was great. The server Grace is very knowledgeable, she explained everything and make sure we were satisfied. I found my new obsession. Thank you Grace for your great service
