We stopped here on our way back to Louisville from Mammoth Cave. The reviews made this place more enticing than the fast food off the highway. My husband and I both ordered the Brisket sandwich and they were both delicious. Skip the fries and go for a different side like the cornbread pancake! The only disappoint was not seeing the fried green tomatoes on the menu – they looked wonderful coming out of the kitchen! Super friendly staff as well!

I stopped here for dinner the first Friday in April after taking a tour at Cub Run Cave (10 miles west of Munfordville). The place was packed and my brother and I waited a half hour before a table became available. It was worth the wait. We each got the sampler platter with 2 baby back ribs and beef brisket (it normally comes with pork shoulder but they were out that night). Portion sizes were huge and the food was excellent. Their brisket is probably the best I’ve had to date. The meat was juicy but not greasy. The service was great. I told our waitress I would come back if I were in the area. If you live in the Munfordville area or are passing through and looking for a place to eat, I would defintely recommend Mama Lou’s.

Looking for BBQ in Kentucky? Well if your going to or through Munfordville, this is a Great Little Find, Great food, Fast and friendly service. Loaded Baked Potato, the pulled pork, tender ribs, awesome BBQ sauce… Loved every bit of it! And who gives a heck about where the smoking sections are with food this good!

The loaded potato was enough food for two. The ribs are smoky and chewy. The sauces vary from mild to moderately less mild, which is my only nit, but I think it’s just the style. The Cole slaw was acceptable (I prefer a clear slaw and this was a cream slaw). The atmosphere reminds me of a seventies greasy spoon restaurant that was never refurbished. Don’t worry. The food is awesome.

Great food, fast service. Limited hours, especially during the week, but it’s worth waiting for! Homemade pickled beets is a special treat, BBQ sauce is sweet and flavorful, and the pork was super tender. Prices were exceptional.

We enjoyed a very good burger with petzel bun, and a one pound loaded baked potato with pulled pork on it. All very delicious and good BBQ sauce.
Only downside is that there is not good separation from smoking section.

Enough big rig parking for 2 or 3 trucks! Great Food and good people. Nice portions, very satisfying when you just gotta have bbq. Good flavor, fall off the bone ribs, all the good stuff you’re looking for!

Great little restaurant with excellent food and nice folks working there. My wife and I ate at Bucky Bee’s while staying the the local KOA, and were impressed with the food – which is also very well priced. Our dinners were huge, so we took home leftovers and basically ate yet another meal each. Definitely visit if you have the chance!

It was awesome. Got the ribs and they did not disappoint. Nice portions. Cornbread to die for. Saw the loaded baked potato get served at another table and regretted not ordering that myself. Will return next time I’m that way
