Restaurant & Mediterranean market serving Lebanese fare in a compact, contemporary space.

I was excited to try this place because Lebanese food is some of the best in the world, and I wasn’t disappointed. The tabbouleh was tangy and fresh, the flavor just as I expected. The falafel was perfectly crispy, and the hummus was creamy and delicious. The tea was great as well. The only downside is that it’s on the expensive side, especially for a Middle Eastern breakfast, but the food really was very good.

The best! Extremely clean, modern esthetic with authentic Lebanese food. We started with mint lemonade and cardamom unsweetened iced tea, so refreshing, fresh mint, fresh cardamom ground into the drinks! Detox never tasted so good! My husband and I both had the lamb kafta lunch platters. It came with salad, rice, I had mine with hummus and he had his with baba ghanoush. For dessert, we had very yummy kunafa. We packed baklava to go. We ended the delicious meal with some hot Lebanese tea, which was so fragrant and presented in beautiful cups. I have added this restaurant to my list of favorites. If you live in the area, you cannot miss this one!
Adding this one week later. I DoorDash’d The same platter and desserts the next day. The lamb tasted extremely undercooked, and under-seasoned. I was unable to eat the food. I would suggest eating at the restaurant rather than ordering at home.

Went here for the first time with my mom and husband and was super impressed with everything! The owner is literally the sweetest man and sooo friendly and helpful. He gave us a run down of all the food on the menu and gave some stellar suggestions on what we should order
We started with the mint lemonade and organic strawberry lemonade. Everything was super fresh and I highly recommend! ( I usually don’t like to order any drinks because of the sugars, but this one was definitely fresh and worth getting!)
We ordered a bunch of apps (the hummus was incredible and super fresh) along with the meat platter so we got to try a bit of everything. All the meat was very high quality and the platter, I felt like was more than enough!- we had extra to take home!
For dessert, I got the Turkish coffee ( which is strong and delish) and we tried their baklava- which also was delicious
Overall, I would Definitely reccomend trying Bayroot. Everything was very fresh and Delicious- incredible experience.
I will 100% be going back!

Extremely small portions for very mediocre food. I ordered a $30 beef platter and received barely enough meat to feed a toddler. Not to mention the meat itself was bland and lacked flavor. I was very surprised to see all the 5 star ratings, because my experience was nowhere near that level. Don’t waste your time here, there are far better Mediterranean restaurants that actually care about both quality and value.

I love the food here. Had a quiet dinner there on a Friday. I feel like more people should know about this place so I’m here to give it my 5⭐️s. This time I ate the Baba Ghanouj, falafel, and tilapia entree. Have had the take out many times, but the food is even better when you eat in.

I stumbled upon this Lebanese restaurant on Google Maps back in February while searching for authentic Lebanese cuisine.
The name, “BayRoots,” is a clever choice that pays homage to the restaurant’s location and its rich culinary heritage. It’s a testament to the owner’s passion for preserving the authentic flavors of Lebanese food.
As a half-Lebanese myself, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing Lebanese cuisine firsthand. I’ve dined at Lebanese restaurants all over the United States and the world, including Lebanon. This establishment, BayRoot, stands out as a true gem. (Wishing they were closer to where I live in Princeton)!
The food at BayRoot is simply delicious and authentic. The herbs and citrus used in the dishes are perfectly balanced, creating a symphony of flavors that tantalize the taste buds.
I ordered a generous amount of food, which I happily shared with my family when I returned home. I left with leftovers, and I couldn’t stop raving about the deliciousness of the dishes to family and friends!
The hummus, baba, fattoush salad, and tabouli were all standouts. But the black mint tea was the pièce de resistance. It was divine! Especially with the added Date, orange blossom simple syrup they offer as an addition. Gold! Their presentation of the dishes was one of the best parts for me! As a trained chef in NYC, beautiful plating is something I look for when dining out! People eat with their eyes first! BayRoot does a beautiful job with presentation! Especially the curls of crunchy pita chips on top of the Fattoush salad!
I’m writing this review a bit late because I lost my father, who was Lebanese. He had been eagerly looking forward to visiting BayRoot with my mom and me this spring. He would have absolutely loved it!
To the owner of BayRoot, I want to express my deepest gratitude for providing me with such an authentic and memorable dining experience. I will definitely be returning to BayRoot soon to savor more of your delicious dishes.
Cheers to delicious food and good company!

Recently, I dined at a restaurant and ordered three sandwiches priced at $14.99 each. To my dismay, the sandwiches contained an insufficient amount of meat. I expressed my concerns to the waiter, who compared the meat to kosher meat and assured me that he would have provided me with more. He further mentioned that their weekly lunch special offered a generous portion, which was not applicable to my Sunday visit. Consequently, I have decided not to return to the establishment. I am surprised to encounter positive reviews for the restaurant, as the sandwiches were not satisfactory. I found myself still hungry after leaving, indicating that I needed to seek alternative dining options.

We saw this restaurant on a popular Instagram influencer’s reel and decided to check it out. The vice was authentic and we were greeted and welcomed so warmly by who I believe was the owner. He engaged in conversation with us and gave us some time to look of the menu which was extensive. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. There were so many things we wanted to try so we’ll have to come back.

Had a wonderful dinner here. Very friendly owner who shared details about various dishes, made suggestions and took pride in the food. Tried the turmeric iced tea for the first time and it was very refreshing and not sweet which was great. The Mezze platter was the star, every item on it was delicious, the Muhamara and Baba Ganoush were my my favorites but the Hummus, Labne and Moussaka were all equally excellent. The Falafel platter was good as well as the pies we tried. An option for a falafel sandwich would be good but it’s not available for the dinner service.
The dessert was amazing, simple ice cream but the flavors were unique and very tasty with Orange Blossom, Rose water and pistachio. Highly recommend this.
Service was wonderful and it’s BYOB. Minor annoyance at the relatively high CC fee but that seems to be the new normal at many places.
Overall a great experience and I would recommend a visit and will be back, I’m sure.
