The food was good, and the ambiance was charming—perfect for an afternoon tea experience. The place was full, so we gave allowances for the crowd, but the service was still unbelievably and disappointingly slow. It took far too long for our orders to be taken and then served. That said, our server was a lovely and friendly woman, which softened the experience slightly. If it weren’t for my 6-year-old niece wanting to experience afternoon tea, I would have considered leaving for another restaurant. While the food and setting are lovely, the service needs serious improvement to justify the wait.

I finally made it here after years of wanting to try this place. Can’t give 5 stars because they don’t answer their phone as we called multiple times and the service is very very slow so make sure you have a lot of time. The tea was delicious I got the burgundy blast and I loved it. I also tried the apple cinnamon from my partner and that was delicious as well. Everything took a while but once it came it was really good. Unfortunately a few items came out wrong at the table and I also got the wrong waffles but they were so good I didn’t mind. My partner asked for no balsamic and it had balsamic so he got his food when everyone was finishing luckily my waffles were so big I could share. Overall the food and tea were so good that I give it 4 stars alone.the scones were also amazing! A hidden gem for sure.

I honestly don’t know where to begin. I was super excited to bring my family here for Mother’s Day because I had a beautiful brunch experience with a friend a few years ago. But boy was this the worst dining experience I have encountered. We were a party of 14 and the reservation was booked since April. We were forced to eat from a prefixed menu which was not stated when the reservation was made, but we went along with it and was still looking forward to a great experience. We sat for over an hour with no food. I asked the manager/owner (Melissa) what was causing the delay and I was met with an attitude. She began to blame my party size and said the restaurant was busy ( it was not, business had slowed down and there were several empty tables.) I expressed to her that we made a reservation and was given a prefixed menu so they should be prepared for us. She continued to be nasty and shortly after we received our appetizers and a round of sangrias for the table that only two people ordered. After over another hour the waitress began to bring our food out. The manager runs out and says that the food was for another table who was seated after us. I expressed how this food was for us because we have been waiting and she told me to “relax”. She then came out with more plates and served the other table and neglected our table. It took an additional 20mins before everyone at the table received their food. If you do the math we had been waiting a total of over 2hrs and 30mins before service was completed. We asked for our desserts to go. I expressed to our waitress (who was amazing and accommodating) how dissatisfied I was with the manager and her service. She then offered 20% of the bill. PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL!!! So the round of sangrias that we thought were on the house, we were charged for and the 75$ pp for the prefixed was actually 78$. The waitress did correct the bill, but at the end of the day it was too late to count that as a win because the experience was so horrible, it all should’ve been free. The food was subpar and the drinks were mediocre. I also attached a picture of the dirty bar that we were sitting next to and the unequal portions that we were served for the same meal. I want to make it very clear that the wait staff was great and tried their best in an unorganized and completely mishandled situation caused by the disgraceful owner/manager. Overall stay clear of this place. After reading the latest reviews they’ll be shut down in no time.

Came here with just the females for Mother’s Day celebration weekend. It’s got that French cafe ambiance – tea and finger foods. They do offer a tea party option that charges $31/person and you choose your tea but there’s the standard finger sandwiches, scones, and sample sweet treats. Too many tea options but we went with Royal Wedding and Mango Fruit. Both were good depending on your tea preference. We also ordered entrees. I would revisit for small gatherings with friends to catch up and enjoy the food.

We took our college age niece out for a special occasion lunch outing when she came to visit with us. Prices were a bit on the pricey side especially the lobster roll it was mostly bread. The ratio of bread to filling was not even half. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxed, we never felt rushed. The service was very good. We will be returning for afternoon tea and biscuits.

Chat Noir is a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food is consistently amazing—especially the Eggs Benedict with their incredible hollandaise sauce. They offer a wide variety of fresh teas and scones, which are always delightful. It does get busy, so making reservations ahead of time is highly recommended!

Went here for the first time today to celebrate my birthday. So glad I went! Such a cute place with nice selection of all different teas (caffeine and caffeine free). The food was so goood too! My table got the tea pot package! So cute! Also got a spinach & bacon quiche! Delish! Customer service was great! From the man at the front of the door to our AMAZING waitress Davina! THE BEST! Will definitely be back!!

Came here for a private baby shower party. The place is super cute and it’s all French themed even the music. The menu has lots of different options and this place is adorable for tea and scones. The salad I got had blue cheese, apples, strawberries, walnuts and more. It has lots of flavor. I got the fish and chips as my entree and it was two big pieces of fish and tasted good. I would come back here.

Celebrated a friend’s baby’s first birthday, and the place was so adorable, with yummy food and a charming, attentive, and funny staff! Meanwhile, ok going to need to find out how they make or where they source their croissants for their Avocado BLT bc that thing was gorgeous!

I came here for brunch with my friends we had the tea service and calamari. It was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is sweet and dainty. This would be wonderful for a bridal or baby shower. They have a variety of teas to choose from. Their menu is extensive. Even though we didn’t try other stuff, the food smelled good from other tables. I recommend making a reservation because even with a reservation we had to wait ~10 minutes. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our tea service. Everything was fairly priced. I would suggest for the tea service: if we wanted more of one flavor of food and less/none of another (e.g., more chicken salad sandwiches instead of egg). Also, they need to make a disclaimer about the surcharge if using a card, fortunately, we asked and we paid in cash. Overall we enjoyed our time and will return again!
