I went to the Pancake House today for the very first time, and I can honestly say the experience was fantastic. Ryan was my waitress, and she was hands down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Her customer service was truly top tier. She came by right away, introduced herself, and brought me both coffee and water. Instead of spending time looking over the menu, I told her exactly what I was in the mood for, and she went above and beyond by creating the perfect combo for me.

I ordered eggs, sausage, hash browns, and blueberry pancakes. Ryan told me all about their homemade blueberry syrup, that it was made fresh from scratch daily and wow, she wasn’t kidding, it was great! The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. There were fresh blueberries not only in the pancakes but also in the syrup, which made the meal even better.

The restaurant itself was also really nice, very open and spacious, with plenty of seating. Even if all the tables were filled, there was still more than enough room to walk around comfortably. I also loved the festive touch of the Christmas tree right inside the restaurant; it made the space feel warm and welcoming.

While it was a little on the pricey side for one person, the quality of the food and the overall experience was great. What impressed me the most, though, was how kind, genuine, and attentive Ryan was throughout my visit. She truly made the experience memorable and as far as I’m concerned she’s the best waitress you have! I was happy to let her know that she was going above and beyond, y’all better hold on to her!

There’s even an option to pay at the table if you’re in a hurry which is a cool feature! I will definitely be back!

This place is great. No wait, even when it was busy. The coffee was really good. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes and a chorizo burrito, both were excellent. Easily the best pancakes i’ve ever had.

First time being here and it wasn’t to shabby at all. The omelet i ordered was thick and fluffy. My wife’s pancakes were pretty darn good as well as her hash browns way better than mine. She asked for crispy and they delivered.
I however didn’t so mine were very soggy and seemed like barley warmed up. Other than my hash brown incident i thought it was quite good. The staff was friendly , attentive and did a great job.
I’ll surely give it another go sometime.

Consistently friendly service and excellent breakfast. You might pay a bit more than you would at another place, but it’s worth it. Never had a bad meal here. Great coffee, fresh juices, and that homemade corned beef hash is to die for. Pictured are the Dutch baby, corned beef hash with eggs, and huevos rancheros.

The food was pretty good but not the price. +15 for the portion size was underwhelming at best. $8 for two coffees was understandable if you don’t drink black coffee as they give actual fresh made cream for coffee. They do have fresh made butter as well. All in all it was decent but nothing to tout about.

Excellent food at exact temperatures. I had the strawberry gluten free pancakes. Always a winner! The bottomless coffee with real cream is a home run hit for me. The staff is friendly and I can count on stellar service.

I had another Dr. appointment in Peoria and thought it’d be a good opportunity to grab lunch while there. Decided to visit ‘The Original Pancake House’. (I spent a large portion of my youth in Oregon and was lucky to have been introduced to this chain LONG before it grew to its current size. I’m happy to say that it was all that I remembered and then some!) I was impressed by the selections that you aren’t likely to find at most breakfast spots. (As a youth, I knew what I liked and generally ordered the same item without checking out the rest of the menu). My meal was delicious and the service was wonderful. I don’t expect it to be… well, let’s just say ‘that long’ …before my next return visit.

The place was loud but tolerable. I got the Eggs and Meats with pancakes and strawberries. Over all the food was good. Very expensive at $20 for one person. My waitress was exceptional.

The place was clean and the service was quick. The place was packed and yet we received our food very quickly. I ordered eggs over medium. They were eggs over hard. I also ordered a blueberry waffle and was expecting to have a waffle with blueberries infused into the waffle itself. But they had a pile of blueberries on top with Maple syrup or Blueberry syrup. I chose a Maple syrup. It was very good. I enjoyed the waffle a great deal. Bacon was thick. I haven’t had bacon that thick in a long time, very, very good. My wife ordered scrambled eggs and bacon. Her eggs were overcooked as well. She had a biscuit and jell, also, the jelly was very good. Biscuit was ok, so overall, good experience. If this review is helpful, please give me thumbs up.
