Reviews
I ordered the Slab Burger with fries and a pair of Combustion Brewery Sir Vezas to wash it all down. Lunetta was fantastic as she made the recommendation for the burger and I was quite pleased.
The BBQ sauce on the burger is quite sweet. And the burger was juicy, but was not overly wet. It didn’t fall apart in my hand and was just bursting with flavor.
The fries are unique in shape, but straightforward in flavor. They had a nice crispness to them. They also were seasoned lightly.
All in all, great experience. Appreciative of the conversation and the quality of food is fantastic.
Looking forward to trying more items!
Decided to hit up SLAB at 7360 East Main Street in Reynoldsburg. I was greeted by Bryan and Terron when I entered. I first met them 6 years ago when they had just started a Food Truck. I was seated and my waitress Emily took my order. I ordered the SLAB Burger which is a beef patty, bbq back rib, Havarti cheese, onion straws and SLAB sauce on a Brioche Bun. I also HAD to order the Sweet Potato Fries. It was kind of ironic that my waitress Kia from over a month ago stopped by and said hi. Emily brought my food out. The burger is on a very nice Brioche Bun. All the ingredients worked well together to provide a great flavored sandwich. Of course I have to talk about the freshly made sweet potato fries, you add in the SLAB dipping sauce. OMG!!!! So flavorful of a dipping sauce. On to my server Emily. I was blown away by her. She grew up with the owners. She works a corporate job during the week. She refilled my water numerous times, even when it wasn’t necessary and I had to ask why. She related that you never know when you’re going to busy, you don’t EVER want your customer to be without or waiting for a refill. I can’t recommend SLAB enough. It’s the food, service and owners that makes this restaurant one of the top places to go in town. Don’t miss out, check out the gang at SLAB, you won’t be disappointed.
Update:
I decided I would go out for lunch today and check in with Bryan/Terron at SLAB Kitchen at 7360 East Main Street in Reynoldsburg. Was seated after entering. To my surprise, guess who my waitress was??? It was Danni!!! She was my waitress from my last visit and yes I spelled her name correctly this time. She brought me a menu and I was going to order the same thing I got last time but she asked if I wanted to try something different. She said try the Slow Roasted Rib Dip. I decided on Sweet Potato Fries instead of the regular ones. The key to the sandwich for me was the toasted Bolillo Bread OMG!! It held the slow roasted rib meat perfectly. Add the Havarti cheese and you have a phenomenal sandwich. They also give you some pork jus to use for dipping. AND you add those Sweet Potato Fries with the SLAB sauce which is so full of flavor. I could come in and just get a double order of it and be super happy. All I can say is come out and see the gang at SLAB Kitchen and enjoy their delicious food.
Saw that Bryan/Terron had finally opened their very own restaurant/bar at 7360 East Main Street in Reynoldsburg. Parking is around back. I met with Bryan/Terron out back and discussed how the new location was going. I finally went inside. OMG!!!! This place is beautiful. It has a nice lengthy bar, with a TV above it. They have numerous lengths of tables throughout. They have seating outside and upstairs inside and outside. It’s a phenomenal setup. On to the food. I ordered a Slab Burger which is a burger cooked perfectly with Havarti, BBQ back rib , onion straws and Slab sauce on a Brioche bun. It’s full of flavor between all the ingredients. The Macaroni and cheese is made with cappatopi pasta and a creamy white cheddar sauce. Delicious. And then there’s the sweet potato fries, that comes with Slab sauce for dipping. It’s one of those things you could sit there and eat all day long. Yummy!!! Danni was my waitress and definitely was taking care of business with refills and ensuring my experience was the best. I also checked in with the kitchen staff and every one of them was totally happy to be working here. So if you have the opportunity, come see Bryan/Terron and the gang at SLAB you won’t be disappointed.
