What a GREAT find!! A fantastic little sandwich shop in the plaza parking lot. Just ordered 19 Cuban sandwiches plus chicken and yellow rice plus black beans and rice for our work lunch and what a wonderful experience, everything was ready and hot right on time. You will not find a better Cuban sandwich in Lakeland for the price. Six dollars for a Cuban on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The people are always friendly and the food is great. The sandwiches are big enough to split if you’re not too hungry.

The Cuban was delicious, crispy, large, and enjoyable.
On the other hand, the deviled crab was disgusting. It had that pre-frozen taste, and it was not crispy. It had definitely been microwaved. My stomach is still upset from eating the deviled crab.
I will go back for a sandwich again once I get over the negative experience with the deviled crab.

Nice little sandwich stand. Service was a 10! First time there, got a Cuban, cold. (Wed&sat $5 10″ Cubans) good deal. Bread was a tad tough, could’ve been because I had it cold. Will absolutely try again and get it hot.

This was in no way an Original Julio’s Cuban sandwich, the only name I have for it is a plain tasteless Ham Sandwich ! Nasty ! The potato roll taste like the hamburger filling was from a week ago out of the refrigerator and heated up! Nasty ! The Spanish bean soup ? Not even close ! Don’t waste you time here, just drive to Tampa and get you a good real Cuban at Brocatos !! I think Julio is turning over in his grave knowing that his good name is being used on this CRAP ! What a total waste of $40.00

Perfect for a quick bite, large tea, and 10” Cuban $5 on a Tuesday. I’m unsure if it’s special, but it was great hot pressed or cold—it was pressed for me . The staff was courteous and quick. Free refills if you eat on-site! A drive-thru is also available, cash or credit.
