My fiance and I have eaten here a few times now, we usually get burgers or wings. Last night 2/18/26 we went to have dinner and sat at the bar. I was going to use our dining experience as part of a school assignment, but unfortunately did not have adequate service. There were maybe 5 to 7 other patrons in the restaurant at the time.
One of the bartenders, Casey P., approached us within 2 minutes and asked if we wanted the drink and food menus. My fiance ordered a Bodhi and I only drink water while dining out. But that was the last we interacted with Casey P. As she hadn’t come back to us to get our food order, even after I verified with her if Wednesday was $0.95 wing night. The servers/bartenders were busy talking to another man at the bar and Casey P. was eating her salad. After waiting 10 minutes for Casey P. to come back to us I told my fiance to finish his beer, he settled the tab and we went across the street to the Local Cantina. The Local Cantina was fairly busy, but even though the bartender seemed swamped, we had gotten our order and food quicker than the time we sat in Plates & Pints.
It’s disheartening especially because my fiance’s coworkers hyped up how wonderful the owners and service is here.
I’m not sure if we will be coming here again so our small list of go-to dependable restaurants is getting shorter.
The first time I had teriyaki chicken wings and fries, 5/5. The wings had a nice crust (not breaded) and were juicy and flavorful. Second time I had the chicken wrap, 5/5. Fresh, tasty and very filling. The third time I had the House Burger, 2/5. Good flavor but the burgers were pretty charred and very dry. I had fries each time, 5/5 (really good). Service and atmosphere were good each time.
Service was super friendly, prompt and accommodating. The table was clean but the floor grates (very dirty) and floors could use some cleaning.
The lunchtime atmosphere was bid loud but very enjoyable. We sat at a table along the front windows and enjoyed watching traffic and passer-byers.
