Placed a to-go order over the phone today and the customer service is a delight, quick and efficient! Little to no wait time upon arrival and I was in and out of their establishment within minutes.
First and foremost; their agua fresca de piña is delicious, definitely recommend! However, all the good reviews on here made me expect a tad bit more on the quality of the food. Unfortunately, the charro beans seemed like they needed more cooking as the beans were a bit too hard to eat; undercooked. The California burrito is a pretty large portion(good bang for the buck), but it lacked seasoning and flavor in the carne asada (fajita). Green and red salsa’s were great. Carmelita’s taqueria has potential but it could be better with a bit more attention and love to their recipes. Prices are reasonable as total came out to $22 for 3 items.
I will try visiting again after a few months to see if any changes are made but feel free to try them out yourselves! I hope this review was helpful!

They have a little bit of everything at fair prices.

Brought my mom here for an early lunch and it was so good! Mom got one ground beef taco on a corn tortilla with rice and beans. She loved it all! I got the enchilada swissas and it was delicious!! I’m glad I skipped breakfast so I could finish my plate!! I can’t wait to go back and try more items from the menu. Also, the staff is so incredibly sweet and very attentive! The restaurant was clean and well kept.

I absolutely LOVE this charming/clean mom-and-pop Mexican restaurant (Carmelitas). The food is incredibly delicious, and you can really taste the care they put into every dish. The tortillas are handmade and absolutely amazing. Plus, the customer service is Top-notch—everyone is so friendly and welcoming. This is my favorite place for lunch and dinner. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I’ve only ordered to-go. The food is delicious. I’ve only ordered tacos. The price seems fair. What I didn’t like was that they give you little meat. The first time they were good, but this time, there’s very little meat.

The prices are outrageous. $16.99 for molded mole and very little rice and beans. The tortillas are very small for the tacos that are also expensive with very little meat. You have to stand up to order also.

We randomly found this place and the owner was super friendly and attentive. The food was really good and on top of that she hooked us up with a queso and a dessert! Will definitely be back if I’m in the area again
