The Po’ Boy Shop Basement Bar is a 4000 sqft., fully stocked bar, located underneath The Po’Boy Shop. Hidden from the front of the building, it’s a delightful surprise when you walk in and see this great watering hole. There are many long tables that are arranged perfectly for groups of all sizes. Plenty of activities, including pool tables, skee ball, golden tee, 14 big screen tv’s, and Atlanta’s only electronic dart boards. Unlike the traditional Po’Boy Shop upstairs that has counter service, The Basement Bar has a full service staff serving the same high quality food you have experienced for years. Po’Boy Shop Basement Bar is one of my absolute favorite spots, and a huge part of that is thanks to Jesse! He’s incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable — truly the kind of bartender who makes you feel welcome the moment you sit down. Every time I visit, I have a great experience and always leave looking forward to my next trip. The food here is also amazing, which makes it the perfect all-around spot to hang out with friends or just relax solo. Highly recommend this place, especially if Jesse is behind the bar!

Got a catfish platter, wings. Loaded fries and a pitcher of beer. Food was ok have been 4 times before. Food isn’t as good as previous times. Could be the cook because we usgo after 5pm. Today was noon.

The Jambalaya is sooooo good! The Bread Pudding is absolutely divine! Whenever I am in the area, I get both. Their French Fries are different and really good. Quite a few Po’Boy sandwiches, and they are equally good. The only food I’ve tried so far that did not exceed my expectations is the Gumbo. It was a bit bland. Overall, it is a very good place to get some good food. The employees are great, too, professional and friendly.

Tasty Po’Boys, great vibe and cocktails. Unfortunately the service was lackluster (looking at you tall twenty-something guy with medium length dirty blonde hair parted down the middle, please try to be more attentive to your tables in the future). Overall I’d definitely come back though!

This place is a hidden gem. The food is delicious and authentic. The atmosphere is exceptional (especially for big games!) and the service is second to none. Laura the bartender, and Sarah the waitress are two of the best in the profession. I’ll definitely be back!
