I’ve been hearing great things about Fatema’s Kitchen since they opened. Finally got the chance to try it out. The before and after photo pretty much says how much I loved their food. Every single bite is fresh, fragrant, and fulfilling. It almost tastes like home to me, even though I grew up in northeast Asia. My stomach is full, my spirit is lifted, my soul is revived. This place is truly a hidden gem.

This was our first time ordering from Fatema’s Kitchen, and the food was absolutely delicious. Mahiche was probably the best I’ve had in the U.S. – tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Rice was fluffy, buttery, and a perfect complement to the dish.

For $21, the Tahchin portion was quite small, mostly rice with very little chicken. It also had a rosewater-like flavor that I personally didn’t enjoy.

The food here is absolutely amazing. I had the saffron lentil rice and the eggplant dip, while my husband had the chicken kebab. All items were freshly prepared, they were highly aromatic, and the taste was amazing. The environment and ambience of the place is very peaceful, which almost adds to the experience of having food here.
If you are in State College, definitely try out Fatema’s Kitchen!

Amazing Persian food that is made to order! One of the best eggplant dip spreads I’ve ever tasted. The lady was super sweet and pleasant. Will definitely try again when in the area.

This place is a hidden gem! The food was delicious and freshly made and full of flavors . We ordered Saffron rice with lentils and Kebab Koubedh, the meat was so tender and juicy. We were there on a trip from Philadelphia on Memorial Day weekend, and our experience was made even more delightful with complimentary Persian tea for the Memorial Day. They are located inside the same building the church is, don’t turn away without eating here.

Delicious, authentic Persian and Afghan food! I am so happy there is finally a Persian restaurant in town. The food was amazing and staff are so nice. Food is relatively affordable, considering it’s made with expensive and hard to come by ingredients. 10/10!
From an Iranian who ate with me: “Tastes like my mom’s cooking.”

The owners were very nice and the food was great. I had saffron lentil rice and a cup of tea. The price is a little steep but I understand things are expensive right now. Please bring back the eggplant stew and maybe add more vegetable dishes
This is located inside the lobby of the church – if you happen to go during a service, the sermon will be broadcasted on the TV in the room. It can be a little loud, so if that would bother you just take care to time it well ♥️
