We chose El Gran Patron because it has an excellent star rating on Google and we had a great experience. We had margaritas, chips, salsa, queso, chicken enchiladas verde, the four enchiladas plate, and chicken/steak fajitas. It was all delicious!! The service was excellent and the food came out quickly. Highly recommend!

I’m delighted to have discovered a fantastic Mexican restaurant in Northport! The service from my table server was excellent, and they took good care of us. Although I ordered a Fajita for one person, the portion was generous enough for hearty appetites. Their salsa for chips doesn’t include cilantro, which was a minor disappointment for me, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and found the prices to be reasonable. I will definitely visit again.

We came in an hour before closing. I don’t like doing that, but my wife and I had just moved into an apt and were exhausted and hungry. They seated us anyway, and they were kind and cheerful the whole time. The food was wonderful, and we enjoyed how upbeat the music was on their radio.

This was my second time at this restaurant while visiting. The server was really nice and attentive at the bar, and my food came very quickly. I had thr Patron cheese dip and it was deliciouso!!! As for the quesadillas I ordered to go IT WAS HORRIBLE . There was barely any cheese, no onions or bell peppers, no lettuce, or pico with it. I definitely didn’t enjoy my main entree or drink at all. So long El Gran Patron Grill, the dip ain’t enough to make me travel back for mediocre quesadillas with barely any cheese, and margaritas full of juice.

Tasty food and good service at a great price. But, what made it great: they had immediate space for 15 people for a graduation party, on the actual day of UA graduation. While all the T-Town restaurants had long wait times with parties competing for tables, this little Mexican gem had space with no wait (Touchdown, Ala…Bama!). Even got to watch the Bama @ Houston basketball game upset win on their many TVs. They even let us bring in our own graduation cake! Score!
