Came here during restaurant week with friends and we had a delightful time. We greatly enjoyed everything we ordered and the timing of the food + the waiters bringing everything at once was great service. Additionally the wine menu was amazing, lots of helpful note in the menu to help you choose whatever wine you are in the mood for.
If you are getting a pasta I would say the garlic knots are a must, they are great for dipping in the sauc

TBH this is a disappointment. I so like their sister restaurant, Tail Up Goat—but this epitomizes what is wrong with DC dining: overpriced, acceptable—not great—food, buzzy space and overly limited menu that would rather focus on alcohol than on innovative interesting food.
Sad. Only 2 entrees available. Chicken or meat (served almost cold). Some pasta choices—
My dining companion thought Dominos garlic knots were better. ☹️
We were asked about allergies, etc but my plate was served full of an item I said I didn’t prefer.
Portions were small for the price (and the now obligatory 20% service charge).
Service was fine, not exceptional or intrusive.
Dessert was confusing mix of things in a bowl.
It’s a fine place to spend time with friends, but I feel I could have done much better with both time and money. Not a restaurant I would recommend

Absolutely impeccable service and out of this world food. I wish it was a little brighter inside so I could see the masterpiece I was consuming, but if that’s my only complaint? Who cares! The rigatoni was truly the best I’ve ever had and they know how to cook a steak. The garlic knot? More like a perfect and savory garlic and herb doughnut. Best bite I had here!

The rigatoni alla vodka was the best I’ve ever had and I highly recommend the smoked scallops and roasted chicken as well. Just great service and atmosphere. The music was a huge plus as well. Makes me wanna visit DC again 100%

I had the Arancini, gnocchi sardi, and olive oil cake and they were all fantastic. And while I came for food, I will say the two things I’ll remember the most were 1. The fact you gave postcard with the receipt as a souvenir and one less thing I’d have to buy on my trip and 2. The service was amazing. I forget what her name is now, but my waitress came over and cleaned off the table of the two or three crumbs of truffle I had and got me new silverware for the second course. I can’t think of any other restaurant I’ve been to where I’ve had service that attentive before.

Fantastic experience! All of the food was perfectly prepared, service was excellent, and ambience was great. Easily the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Would absolutely return.

Everyone we interacted with was genuinely nice! I loved the experience here, Julian was our server and he’s amazing. The drink he created and served us was really good. (Name: Big Money)
The food was so good. You have to try the Garlic knots! And definitely check out the bathroom lol. It’s so cool. I love how Julian and even the host (I’m sorry I forgot her name. 🙁 ) were so informative on everything we had asked on the menu. Even when the restaurant was closed they don’t rush you out at all. You can take your time on everything. Thank you Ivy and Personale addetto alla cucina. I will definitely be coming back again! Also PLEASE arrive even 30-45 minutes before your reservation due to finding parking which they do send a text to notify you about. But it was a 3 minutes before walk for us which wasn’t bad at all. 🙂

We visited for Valentine’s Day and paid about $95-$100 each for their base price. To reserve a table, I had to put down $250 non-refundable and they gave me no information if it was a table/booth/bar… when we arrived at 5:15 to an empty restaurant, they sat us at the bar, 1 foot away from the entrance door… I would’ve liked to know I was paying $300
for an unfavorable bar seat. Service was subpar, and food was so bad. Scallops were so fishy masked with lemon, lobster ravioli was crunchy attempting to be al dente, and lamb was way too raw. Such a disappointing experience.

Absolutely adore this place. Everything you could ask for from an intimate eatery. The food being to-die-for is honestly peanuts to the ambiance and the experience my partner and I had celebrating our anniversary there. The waitstaff was so genuine and professional, and made us feel extremely special. Quickly became our fav date night spot. Sharing plates, the portions were perfect and our drinks were delightful. Gotta go back soon!
