Just tried the butter chicken at this restaurant and WOW. Easily a 10/10. The sauce was incredibly rich and creamy with the perfect balance of spices, and the chicken was super tender. Every bite was packed with flavor, and it paired perfectly with the warm naan. If you’re a fan of Indian food—or even trying it for the first time—this dish is a must. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I am so happy to see this restaurant back! I have been a customer since they were in Raleigh. Hands down the best Indian cuisine in the Triangle! Came for dinner with my husband and we had the Aloo Tikka Special, which was amazing paired with the papadum bread service that came with a tasty assortment of sauces. My husband got the chicken tikka and I got the butter chicken. Both entrees were amazing! Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Taj Mahal Restaurant truly lives up to its name. The food was absolutely exceptional every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into their recipes. From the rich curries to the perfectly spiced appetizers, everything was delicious.
What made the experience even better was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcome from the moment we walked in. Our food arrived quickly, and they were happy to offer recommendations and accommodate any requests.
If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality Indian food with top-notch service, Taj Mahal is the place to go. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We loved the food and appreciated the different flavors compared to our usual Indian restaurants. Our takeout was delicious and comforting on a chilly evening. While the food quality was excellent, the portions felt a bit small for the price, making it more of an occasional treat than a frequent go-to spot. Still, really great food.

I enjoyed this restaurant when they were in Raleigh. I was excited to learn they had moved to Wake Forest. We stopped by for dinner and they did not disappoint. I have a food allergy and they made sure my food was safe for me. The food is amazing!!! It’s a taste of heaven!!! The service is top notch. They are genuinely kind and friendly. The restaurant itself looks clean and is decorated well. You get what you pay for here and the portions are large enough to take home leftovers. The leftovers taste just as good the next day. The food is simply made to perfection. The only problem I can see is that once people learn about them, they’re going to be packed and hard to get into, because they’re THAT good! I saw people getting take out, so at least that’s an option too. They are truly the best!!!

Taj Mahal is one of those places where you can really taste the authenticity. The spices are bold without being overwhelming, and everything feels freshly prepared. The curries are rich and comforting, the naan comes out hot and soft, and every bite has that homemade quality you hope for in good Indian food.
The staff is welcoming and kind, always ready to explain dishes or suggest something if you’re trying Indian food for the first time. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, making it an easy place to sit back, enjoy your meal, and take your time.

We just stopped in at the new Taj Mahal restaurant in Wake Forest/Heritage, this is the best Indian restaurant in the whole triangle ya’ll!! We’ve been to several others in Cary and Durham but this place blows doors on all of them! Just their soups alone are super flavorful, their chai is just the right amount of spice and creaminess, and don’t even get me started on their chicken. Their restaurant is beautiful too, quiet and well decorated, clean, peaceful, and service is excellent. Such a wonderful family restaurant, we feel like we’re stepping into someone’s wonderful home here. Definitely give them a try y’all! You won’t be disappointed.

I have been going to the Taj Mahal close to 7 years at their old location in Raleigh. They now moved to Wake Forest and have a great spot in a new building. The Taj Mahal has the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten. The chef is very friendly and his wife is great! Highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking for a great Indian restaurant in Wake Forest NC.

Went to dinner with my husband here tonight, and was genuinely very surprised at the level of customer service. Everyone said hello when we went in and were just so nice. Definitely not something you see in any establishment anymore. It was our first time at Taj Mahal and our waitress Emily told us all about the menu and the different options they had! We don’t go out to eat anymore because of the awful customer service these days, it always puts me in such a bad mood to go out for fun and pay people to be mean to me, but here was a totally different experience and was so refreshing. We always get takeout from another popular Indian restaurant off south Main Street just because the service is so trashy, but with this new place open, we can come here instead. The food was outstanding as well. We both had the butter chicken and the cheese naan and definitely have many other menu items we would like to try. Very very impressed with the level of genuine kindness the family and Emily had, and the amazing food. We will definitely be back.
