The service and food was horrible!! The employee “Louis” was extremely Rude! He messed up my order, and the food wasn’t prepared right. I’ve been there many times in the past and have Never been treated like that! I wasted money. This experience has soured me on Long John Silver’s in Daytona Beach FL.. Perhaps they should put a store in a better area with more accommodating employees.

We almost missed a great place. (Shhh don’t tell my doctor ) the other reviews were not kind. We had a fresh hot mountain of food with friendly service and everything we asked for when our food was sent out. They have a juke box.❣️ I’m glad mom and I got to enjoy the experience. P. S. From reading past reviews, I came with low expectations. What I found was a Clean, friendly, energetic and well seasoned restaurant. There was a fun mix of music coming from the back as well as some talented back-up vocals to boot. Happy employees reflected in the food for sure!
This location is also an A&W Rootbeer stand!

Staff was amazing, the woman working the register was so kind to my two kids and we all had a great time. The burger and cheese curds were great too! Honestly one of the best fast food experiences I have ever had because the staff was so kind (and fresh A&W is hard to beat). Don’t think I have ever reviewed a fast food location before, but it was really wonderful.

We have been Long John Silver & A&W lovers for many years which is why I hate having to do this. I think tonight was our last time eating at the only location in the Daytona area (which is very unfortunate there are no other LJS’s in our area).
The last 5 or so visits we’ve received the wrong food. They never have A&W Root beer every time we go there & a lot of the time we don’t get hush puppies (& sometimes missing 1 of the sides). Tonight we ordered 2 chicken meals(#6 on menu) with green beans & slaw and 2 extra pieces of chicken, cheese curds with 2 large A&W. Very simple order! Once we pulled up to the window they tell us they don’t have root beer because guy who makes it didn’t work today so we asked for orange, didn’t have that, sweet tea…. nope out too. What we received when we got the food was 1 of the #6, then a fish meal. Neither meal had hush puppies or crunchies. They did get the sides correct this time. We didn’t get the curds either.
Something similar to this has happened every time we’ve been there over the last several visits & enough is finally enough. The only thing good is at least the employees are nice & the food we do get that we actually eat still tastes good.

An excellent meal!
It’d be great if Jacksonville had a Long John Silver’s, but after our experience here in Daytona we’ll gladly make the trip again. When we walked in, I immediately took note of how orderly the restaurant was, then how clean it looked. Tables were spotless, condiment/drink area was orderly and stocked full, and after a short road trip we found the bathrooms were immaculate. Even my daughter commented on how clean the bathrooms were. Ordering was a breeze as 2 wonderful ladies helped us along with any questions. They also brought our order to our table, and asked if we needed anything else. Can’t say enough nice things about them, they did all of this with a smile. To top it off the food was delicious, better even than we were expecting. Batter fried fish & chicken were cooked perfectly, not overdone but steaming juicy and flaked easily, coleslaw was freshly made & crisp. As for ambiance, a large TV showed a playoff football game, there’s a free play jukebox and overall the decor was updated recently and kept nice.
We had an excellent experience at this Long John Silver’s, will let our friends know and are already planning our next visit. Many thanks!

The service was kind of slow. There were several people ahead of me and the clerks were rather slow getting the orders out. I was there about 20 minutes for an order of two pieces of fish and french fries. But, I have to say the fish was pretty good. The fries were not stale and they had pretty good flavor too.

I had not eaten at Long John Silver’s in a few years. I ordered the 2 piece fish meal with 2 orders of onion rings as my sides. The fish was cooked to perfection, crispy, and even better than I had remembered. The onion rings were also perfectly cooked, and delicious. My friend ordered the 8 piece shrimp meal and she said they were wonderful. They looked perfectly cooked. The entire staff was very friendly with genuine smiles all around. I emphasize the fact that all of the food ordered was cooked perfectly.

Small little Restaurant, the drive through entrance is behind the building, kind of an improvised entrance.
I was there twice in a row while attending the Motorcycle class in the mall up the road, and wanted to check out one of the Few Long John Silvers we have left in Florida.
Fish was hot and crispy, hush puppies were too, fries were soft tho.
The root beer float was great!
They said they had trouble getting their ice cream machine to freeze because it was old, but the ice cream was fine for me!
