The bread is made fresh. My sandwich was on their Vermont cheddar roll. The turkey is REAL sliced turkey, not processed lunch meat. Very tasty! Homey feel inside. Pleasant staff. Quite a variety.

O’Kelly’s food is delicious and we truly appreciate their donation of 150 bags of delicious rolls for Open Bible Baptist Church’s Turkey Outreach. They were so generous in supporting the community!

They have the best chicken salad sandwiches! Actually, everything we’ve had there has been delicious. My husband loves the roast beef sandwiches and the pork BBQ sandwiches.

The service at every O’Kellys to include the van service that goes to the nursing homes, is always wonderful! Everyo e is so friendly and the food is just delicious. Make them one of your favorites today! They are very clean and offer a no stress environment.

Ordered chicken salad. It was great, especially the roll it was served on. It seemed to be fresh baked and was pillowy soft. Prices are little high for the amount of food that you get. I paid close to $13 for the sandwich and bottle of water. Service was slower than anticipated since they were not very busy. The dining room was empty. I would assume that the prices scare people away.

I was cutting through Danville around lunch time from Roanoke to Raleigh and stumbled on O’Kellys. What a great deli sandwich! This place is awesome.

I’ve been to several O’Kelly’s locations before and they’ve been excellent. Food is good and service is friendly. But my experience at this location was very disappointing.

I came in with my family on 1/2/24 around 2:30 for a late lunch. My wife and I ordered value bag lunches which come with chips and a drink. I ordered two sandwiches (not value bag lunches) for my kids. Then I requested tap water for their drinks. While waiting for our order I discovered the girl had incorrectly rung up my kids sandwiches as value bag lunches. Rather than going through the hassle of correcting the charge I decided to just leave it as-is and get the chips and drinks for their orders. The girl gave us all tap water. When I went up to get the 4 chips and drinks we paid for as value bag lunches, the girl stopped me and asked why I was getting drinks. I said they came with the value bag lunches. She then informed me that my waters were my drinks. I challenged her and said she was effectively charging me for TAP WATER. She reiterated those were my drinks. I was shocked she would even suggest this. On what planet do restaurants charge for tap water? I’ve seen some charge for the cups(and that’s understandable), but never for water that comes from the tap. In short, the girl was completely unreasonable. If you visit O’Kelly’s, choose a different location!

We came in on Saturday September 2, at 10:30 am first time coming here. Two girls we’re working no one acknowledged us. One girl was entertaining her boyfriend. So I asked can we sit anywhere she replied yes. No one was in your deli just us. We waited for someone to come over to take our order and no one came. I got up out of seat went to the counter and that’s when she told me we have to order up here. I ordered a Reuben a Coke and a bag of chips for $13.10, my friend order a Chicken sandwich. Then someone yelled out Reuben I again went to the counter and she told me that they didn’t have any Reuben meat after I just paid for it. I ordered Ham & Swiss with the Reuben sauce on it. Clearly the Reuben was more expensive than the Ham & Swiss but she never returned some of my money back to me. I was called up to the counter again picked up my ham & Swiss and the Chicken sandwich for my friend. The girl never gave us napkins straws or salt, pepper. My friend is 76 years old with Parkinson so she shakes uncontrollably. The sandwich was big and the presentation was beautiful. I asked the girl if she could please cut the chicken sandwich in half for my friend. She said she can’t do that because I opened it already. So I asked for a knife and everything else that should have been handed to us. The chicken was so thick that I was finally able to cut the sandwich with the plastic knife. When my friend bit into it, she had spit it right out. The ( Chicken was rubbery and not done at all and cool) went back up there and ask the girl could you please put this back in the oven again the chicken is not COOKED and it’s COOL!!! She told me she can’t do that on the weekend, mind you there’s no one in that place except me and my girlfriend. I asked for her money back then she told me she couldn’t do that because she opened the sandwich and bit into it. WHAT I asked for a manager and there wasn’t one on site. We left the food on the table and left. Going to talk to someone on Tuesday since Monday is a holiday. Will NEVER go back!!! Heard so much about this place and wind up so disappointed.

Stopped here for lunch today, they are know for there chicken salad They have it in containers for carry out, it looked like cat food to me. I ordered the pizza roll, I won’t do that again. They have them all wrapped up in plastic wrap in the display case. Clerk took one out and sent it to the kitchen as I wanted it hot. It appears they microwaved it. Because it is baked originally with sauce in it by the time it sits in a case then gets micowaved you get a somewhat chewy/soggy tastless roll. The pepperoni was nice and tasty, but not the roll itself.
The dinning room was pretty empty for noon but it didn’t have a warm and inviting feeling either. Table was clean. I’ve been to Subway’s that had more warmth and friendlyness than this place. Not sure I would go back.
