Finding a good prime rib dinner for $20 anywhere (much less Hawaii) is a gem. The portions are generous and the food is tasty.
Good prices on wine and beer, and the cocktail prices are reasonable for the area.
Sabrina keeps moving, taking care of multiple tables and the bar top with a friendly but efficient demeanor. We enjoyed chatting with her.
We will be back!
We tried a few different drinks as well. My husband had a beer and a couple of rum & cokes, and I had an awesome espresso martini and the refreshing Spritz Del Conte. Everything was delicious.
A huge shoutout to our server, Mark, who was genuinely one of the best servers I’ve ever had. He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us great recommendations. Such a sweet person and a huge part of why our night was so great.
On top of all that, the prices were incredible & honestly the best deals we’ve seen on our trip, especially for the quality.
We would recommend this place to absolutely anyone. Can’t wait to come back!
Really great place. Give it a try.
10/10 would highly recommend.
Happy hour can get crowded, but usually not too long of a wait for a space.
We were able to walk over from the hotel and were glad to see a few other customers there without it feeling overly busy, so we were able to sit right away. We ordered a few of drinks, some sushi dishes to share that really hit the spot, and a flatbread pizza to round everything out.
The bartender (whose name I unfortunately forgot) was super friendly, and it was clear he enjoyed chatting and engaging with the customers. That always adds to the experience 🙂
If I “had to” complain about anything, it would be that the pizza took quite a while to come out compared to the drinks and other food. That being said, it wasn’t a dealbreaker and we didn’t mind much since we were not in a rush. We were on vacation, after all.
Tbh I’m not sure when we will make it back to Big Island or to this particular area, but if/when we do, I would absolutely consider coming back to try more of their food and drinks. We had a really lovely time here.
Aloah Wine Bar exceeded all expectations! Despite not trying wine, Mark crafted a custom drink tailored perfectly to my taste preferences. His expertise extended beyond just drinks; his knowledge of the island and its unique flavors added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxed, allowing for a truly comfortable evening. The drinks were nothing short of fantastic, with each sip delivering pure delight. A visit to Aloah Wine Bar wouldn’t be complete without indulging in “The Cat’s Meow” shooter – it’s an absolute must-try! Mark’s impeccable service and mastery of mixology make this establishment a standout destination. Make sure to stop by and let Mark work his magic!
PS: The edamame was great too!
