For starters the venue appealed to me because they are a black / Caribbean owned business. Black owned restaurants with a nice sized event space are almost non existent. The price of the food can rub you as being a little pricy but don’t let that scare you because their chef is on point. I’ve been there on a few occasions I even had a catered event of about 30 people. I initially caught grief from some in my group because they did not know what to expect but after the event everyone in my group had nothing but praise for the food and staff at the Junction.

The food was honestly just okay. There was a noticeable lack of consistency in flavor across several dishes, including the Rasta Pasta, Jerk Chicken, and Oxtails. That said, the King Fish was a standout and absolutely worth ordering; each bite revealed layers of spices that became more pronounced as you continued eating. The drinks, however, were well-crafted and definitely worth noting, offering a nice balance and complement to the menu. While the staff was knowledgeable, the service lacked warmth and personable engagement. The atmosphere is visually appealing upon entry and very photo-worthy at the front, but the ambiance becomes more subdued and less engaging as you move further into the space.

I pulled up to Caribbean Saturdays at Bacchanal Junction in Bloomfield and babyyyy it did NOT disappoint! From the vibes to the flavors, everything felt like a mini island escape.

Pros: Convenient parking lot, though I imagine it would be packed during a busier day/time. The DJ played good music at a decent volume most of the time. We were seated quickly, which we liked. The staff were friendly. The food came quickly. The jerk chicken and mac and cheese were really good, as were the plantains.
Cons: The music stopped and randomly increased for a time. Our waiter had to be flagged down often, because while he seemed earnest, he was not keen on checking in on our table to make sure we had everything. The woman that checked us in did though. We ordered jerk chicken and received jerk salmon. The waiter apologized and corrected this error. The oxtail was a bit tough, and the rice seemed a bit dry. The consistency of the oxtail gravy was more akin to oil. We were charged 18% gratuity for a party of 2. I’m not sure of the law around tipping, but I prefer to have the option to tip, and often tip 20%. Being mandated feels like false advertising, since the pricing is very different when you are mandated to pay an extra fee.

I recently attended a networking event at Bacchanal NJ and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was perfect for connecting with other professionals, and I made great connections that I’m confident will lead to closed business.
The food was absolutely delicious every dish we tried was flavorful and well prepared. The staff went above and beyond throughout the event, providing attentive, friendly service that truly elevated the guest experience. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made everything run smoothly and ensured everyone felt welcome.
Highly recommend Bacchanal NJ for business events, gatherings, or even just a fantastic meal with impeccable service. I’ll definitely be back!

Came here for my cousin’s networking event on the last Thursday of the month.
I ordered the strawberry lemon drop, salmon bites, & yucca fries —- tore my food up. Lolol
My cousin wasn’t a fan of the fries & I wasn’t either. Had a strange after taste to me, but she liked her wings & her drink.
Bartender was accommodating & patient with all of our demands. We met the owner as well & he was cool too.
This is a real nice happy hour, date night, gurls/guys night spot.

Overall, everything was amazing. We were celebrating my friend’s birthday. We did have to speak to someone about the waitress focusing on our order as it seemed like her attention kept being diverted. Once we addressed it, everything was smooth sailing. She provided excellent customer service. I would definitely visit again!!!

I went last night with my cousin to this restaurant. This is a spot that is unique. It can be girls night out or a date night. I’m Jamaican American and love carribean cuisine. The food was chefs kiss. I began with wings ooooh i think it was red chili i asked for flats which they normally do not do but did it yesterday for me. They were finger licking delicious cooked just right and I’m picky with wings. I was in heaven, then we proceeded to order our entrees delicious once again. I had King Fish my cousin had the jerk salmon. Very large portions as we took some food home. Trust me this restaurant did not disappoint. The owner even came around and was very warm and friendly. They have a back room that he was so gracious to give us a tour for future party i want to plan. Top it all off they even had a dj and the music was good it just set the tone. I wish I would have taken pictures of the food to share. (I’ll do so next time) go check it out thank me later

Bacchanal Junction was such a vibe. I met one of my besties here late night for a drink and even though I had already eaten beforehand, the energy alone made the stop worth it. The music was on point and the overall atmosphere was fun, lively, and exactly what you want for a late-night linkup.
