Let’s Get It Big Country
Visited yesterday for breakfast. Was greeted friendly and was seated fast. Basic Shoneys breakfast spread. And the eggs wasn’t runny, the bacon was actually cooked decently. One customer complained about the French Toast sticks while I was getting my food. Fresh sticks was brought out promptly. It’s not a fancy place but it has good food and friendly staff and great prices. It’s definitely a good weekday choice for a breakfast in the area. I’ve eaten there plenty of times. And decided to leave a review because I feel they are better than what the majority of the reviews are that are posted.

Fast service, great entrees, fantastic dessert!

Arrived at 1:15 pm which was low peak business.

** Order from menu, not buffet!**

I ordered Shoney’s Double Decker w/ onion rings plus the salad/soup/fruit bar (additional $2.99). My girlfriend got Chicken Florentine entree which included the salad/soup/fruit bar. We started with the bar: I had pasta salad and banana pudding- the pasta salad wasn’t that good, but the banana pudding was excellent. My girlfriend made herself a salad- the salad was fresh with a nice assortment of options for toppings; however the salad dressings were not labeled, which didn’t matter for her because she could tell the difference, but others might be annoyed by that. Both our entrees were cooked well and full of flavor. We finished with the meal with Shoney’s World Famous Hot Fudge Cake. This has a classic 1950s diner taste. Ice cream is key as it allows you to have some in every bite.

Bathrooms were clean, but smelled of bleach.

Overall, restaurant was clean and staff friendly

**Don’t order buffet as it looks unappetizing.**

Very disappointed in the waitress and manager. Customer was blowing his nose, touched his nose, and then started fixing his food without washing his hands. Manager and waitress was notified by several customers. Customer returned back to buffet bar after placing plate on the table and immediately started sneezing. He went to his table and started blowing his nose. It’s disrespectful to blow your nose in public while others are eating and not washing your hands is nasty. Shoney’s, what about the customer’s that used the same SPOONS he touched? The manger or waitress DID NOT address this man at all. When the waitress asked if she could get us something we mentioned again about the utensils her responds was “staff going to change out the spoons.” Manager and waitress you could’ve politely addressed this man.

2 stars only because the staff is friendly and professional. The restaurant is in need of repairs-the booth seats are cracked and sagging, the bathrooms are questionable. The food is awful; all the sauces on the buffet seemed to be extremely watered down, the food badly cooked and bland. For 9$ plus the cost of coffee, almost everyone offers a better breakfast.

The star is for the excellent service not the food. We have little money and very rarely go out to eat. We thought we would treat ourselves on Easter. The food was mushy, salty, flavorless, and overall disgusting. We paid to eat this time but next time they’d better pay us!!!

Food was edible. Buffet was oldish but warm food. The food we ordered was out in a reasonable amount of time and tolerable. Service was good. But for over $60 for two adults and 4 children, it was greatly overpriced

I guess we came at a bad hour. There were only two other people in the whole restaurant. The food on the buffet looked like it had been sitting for a while. But we were hungry and decided to eat there anyways. As soon as we got up to leave they brought out fresh food. The staff was very friendly though.

Great service, friendly staff,ALL AMERICAN CHEESE BURGERS COOKED TO PERFECTION! DIXIE FRIES ,served crisp ,not overcooked, really good food and priced reasonable too. STRAWBERRY PIE, fresh made in restaurant, taste beyond words, this pie is a must have every time! T he only problem we have at SHONEY`S RESTAURANT , is finishing off the burger,it`s more than we can finish in one meal. Doggy box every time. Looking forward to next trip to SHONEY`S! We might try the HOT FUDGE CAKE !

Unfortunately this building was dilapidated at best. Walls were gross seats and tables were worse and the A/C was seemingly broken. The food was either raw or burnt and always over salted. The only reason this place is passable is the professional workers.

I’d give it minus 2 if I could. The staff is great. All, I mean ALL, of the food is just nasty. The buffet is simply gross.
