Loved the olives (great mixture) and I love that they have small portions of their pastas because I can’t generally finish a whole portion. But also nice because it does allow you to get two or three different pastas.
I had the squid ink pasta with calamari. It was fantastic. I also had a bite of my husband’s ragu and it was good too, though I thought it needed more sauce.
The tiramisu was excellent. Could have had more espresso taste but the cream was top notch.

We had such a fun lunch here today! We sat at the bar and Kayla was amazing. All of the food was delicious and the wine selection was top notch. The homemade hand rolled pasta is incomparable. And you must check out the old jail! We will definitely be back!

So glad we found this place! Amazing Italian food, great drinks, and surprisingly good prices. Even though our order went in behind a large party, the staff was incredibly attentive and made sure we were taken care of.

We have been to this place twice. The service and food have been wonderful on both occasions. Boone needed good Italian, and we finally have a place to go that meets the mark.
That being said…. There are two issues that you need to be aware of. First, we have had trouble with waiting for a table even after making a timed reservation. We ended up having to wait 30-45 minutes past our reservation time for a table. We were provided blankets while we waited, but it was definitely still uncomfortable standing that long in 30 degree weather.
Second, the food can be a tad overpriced depending on what you get and what you are comfortable with. That being said, I am definitely okay with this place being a tad expensive if it helps them stay in business in a place with ridiculous rent like Boone.
So, I definitely recommend this place, just pack your patience and the understanding it may be on the pricier side.

I was very disappointed with the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. We were seated in a corner staring at the wall with no space, uncomfortable chairs and the table the size of a lunch room tray. I ordered the meat lasagna which had good flavor but was watery with very little meat. My wife ordered the beet salad which she loved and the gnocchi in which she said was very good but needed more gravy. The menu is very limited and there was only bread available for purchase, even in Italy they have bread with pasta meals. Definitely overpriced considering the ambience, comfort and menu options but I always try to give a restaurant a second chance so I will visit again. Maybe the next time we will get a seat like other people coming in by separating tables for guests. Waiter was Great, the highlight of the meal

With over 20 years of traveling and trying different Italian restaurants (in the US), this was by far the tastiest home made menu we had tried. The menu was simple and underpriced for the amazing quality and unique blends of ingredients. According to our waiter, the head chef spent time as an under study in Italy before making the menu. I would give this menu 10 stars if I could.

Absolutely amazing! They were phenomenal from the start to the end! The drinks were the best we’ve had in a long time. Ask for the alibi wit gin – best drink. The prohibition Mary was a wildly delicious take on a bloody Mary! The Gnocchi was the best I’ve had, even better than the place we frequent in Charlotte. They were also so wonderful and accommodating with our young son so we could have a bit of a date night with the kid while on a family vacation! We plan to head back to Boone to be sure to enjoy this place again!

Delicious, authentic Italian food with a great vibe and friendly service. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked with amazing flavor. We even got to chat with the chef, who learned how to cook in Italy, and you can really taste that authenticity in the food. Definitely recommend! ✨

Eating at The Pasta Joint was one of the best meal experiences I have ever had. My partner and I came here to celebrate our anniversary, and everything was so incredible. The owner was so kind and personal with us, our server Taylor was a delight (and so helpful with our indecisive menu decisions), and the atmosphere was so welcoming and romantic.
The cavatelli dish was particularly amazing (I was speechless with each bite!), as was the mushroom pappardelle dish – I couldn’t choose between them so I got a half portion of each one, which was the perfect decision to get to enjoy both! The chocolate cake and tiramisu were some of the absolute best I’ve had, and were such generous treats for us to celebrate with. So much heart and intention has been put into this food!
The owner took the most wonderful photos for us that we will treasure for a long time. I have been a Boone local for many years and this is absolutely the best food experience I have had – I am extremely excited to have The Pasta Joint be part of our little mountain town. Highly highly recommend!

From the moment we walked in, Chef and owner Adam and his wonderful wife made us feel like old friends. Their warmth, hospitality, and genuine passion for what they do set the tone for an unforgettable evening.
And then the food… wow. Every dish was a masterpiece — beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I normally struggle to find an appetite, but somehow, I ate more during this one meal than I have all year. It was that good. Each bite felt like a love letter to Italian cuisine, and you could taste the care and detail that went into every ingredient.
