We have been buying kids hot fudge sundaes paying extra for two shots of hot fudge at the MV location for the last three years. Depending on the staff on duty, we never get two full shots. When we buy the same sundae at the Granville store, we always get good service and what we pay for. I guess the solution is to drive to Granville from now on.

I give 3 stars because the custard is amazing but the customer service I got today wasn’t good. I won’t pay before I get served again! The last didn’t deserve my tip because she didn’t listen to me and wouldn’t fix it, I asked for a vanilla cone with sprinkles and she gives it to me in a cup, I then tell her I asked for a cone and she gives me one to put on top! It’s not the same to me.

Great little Custard shop.

Hands down, best place to go in town on a hot day.

Service is always fast, and very friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Love the fact that you can buy it straight from the freezer and bring some home.

Location can be somewhat fusterating to get in and out of if you aren’t able to hit the light and aren’t going or coming from a specific direction. Nonetheless, very much worth the possible hassle.

We’ve been here a few times. They have always had a dairy free option that my wife loves. The service has been great and then Frozen Custard has been delicious.

We got to Whit’s in Mount Vernon 15 minutes before closing—lights on, staff scrubbing like they were racing the clock. My partner ordered the CoolCoffee custard with macadamia nuts, I got the Knoxalicious also with macadamia nuts.
Well, we took one bite and realized… surprise! It was walnuts. Only walnuts. Everywhere. We both searched like archaeologists for even one macadamia. Nothing. Just a symphony of walnuts.

I’m diabetic and had asked about sugar-free options—there were none.(your website says differently but thats none of my business) So yes, we risked our blood sugar for a dessert that wasn’t even the one we ordered. And you know what? We still loved it.

It was a nutty little comedy of errors, but now we have a weirdly wonderful memory—and two walnut-flavored custards that we couldn’t stop laughing about. Thanks, Whit’s. You got our order wrong, but the moment was right.

10/10 comedy
7/10 accuracy and
12/10 for menory making

Good custard but poor portioning. Both medium Whitzers we ordered were evidently just small ones in bigger cups. Asked twice why they were so low but couldn’t get a decipherable response.

Ordered a small chocolate whitser with cheesecake and strawberry, hot fudge on top. At first, it came with no hot fudge (after being charged .50 per topping). When I corrected it and it was handed to me, it was melting over the cup. They asked me if I wanted a lid but then the two workers quietly discussed how it would not fit a lid. I said yes, I’d like a lid. The worker then went and added a glob of whip cream (for which my wife doesn’t like and I didn’t ask for) and then asked if I still wanted a lid. Strongly feels like she added the cream just to try and convince me to not take a lid.

My second item was a large Buckeye Madness with chocolate icecream. I got vanilla, and when I asked about it, the employee lied to my face, saying it was chocolate. That is my usual, so I know it wasn’t chocolate icecream. Nevermind the fact that my wife’s chocolate whitzer was right by it and clearly different. Attached is a photo of the two. The one had to be covered by a Wendy’s wrapper due to the mess. Couldn’t even finish my buckeye since it tasted like just melted peanut butter.
