Wild Ember Bread is a small scale wood-fired bakery offering naturally leavened hearth loaves, baguettes, bagels and baked goods, as well as a small pantry with local and unusual grocery items to complement your bread. Now stocking organic and sulfite free wines from around the world. We use all organic flour and heritage wheat varieties from regional farms whenever possible. During market season we offer seasonal items using local produce.

Excellent bakery! Everything we had was great, but my favorite was the smoked rye loaf. It is on the pricy side, but the expense is worth it for the high quality goods.

I love this place. Staff is super friendly, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted and the woman working was patient and explained everything they had to me. I got sourdough, their sandwich type bread, (both delicious of course) and a cranberry orange scone. I ate the scone on the way home and almost turned right around to go get another one it was so good!

A great place to get some delicious and homemade bread. I picked up a loaf of the Deep Creek sourdough this weekend and not only is it beautiful but it tastes wonderful as well! Omar and his crew are friendly and offer a verity of breads to choose from. Everything I have tried is wonderful and gets eaten quickly.

They delivered bagels and scones for our wedding party breakfast at the Red Barn Inn. Their baked goods are absolutely delicious—honestly everything I have eaten from their bakery is a work of art. Our order arrived fresh and still slightly warm. Yum!

I stopped in briefly with my brother en route to Deep Creek for my son’s wedding and met Omar who was real cool. We grabbed some everything bagels, a few baguettes a some butter. Once we got to our spot we popped some bagels in the toaster, slapped on some butter and immediately made plans on go see Omar again on the way back to DC. Scrumptious!
