I only gave 4 stars for “atmosphere” but, that’s only because there is no dine in. Everything else about this place is 5 stars! A LOT of great food for your money!
I’ve had street tacos all over the US (L.A., Texas, Colorado, Oregon, Ohio, etc)…and these are REALLY good! They are loaded with more meat/fillings than you typically get elsewhere, too. He also offers them with everything (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, etc)…but, Mexican style (aka street taco…cilantro, onion, and lime slices) is my favorite. If you like some heat…be sure to ask for some hot sauce.
The deluxe burrito is also highly recommended! I want to try so much more here…but, it’s soooo hard to say no to the tacos! Once, he was out of steak, and I decided to try the chicken…also full of flavor and did not disappoint.
This is a hidden gem…and definitely worth the drive.

Best hometown gem for authentic Mexican food to go. People travel from all over to try it. We drove from Fayetteville because the food is great and it’s not over priced. So bring cash and enjoy. Can’t wait for some ice cream over the summer.

Let me start by saying I’m a Mexican food snob, but here is my takeaway. Steak nachos equals ground beef. The chips were so brown that they were almost burned. Finally found some refried beans in the middle of the dish. This could have been fabulous with not as brown chips, steak (as advertised) or more beans and less hamburger, some fresh onion, tomato, and cilantro. Also, what’s the red sauce in the container? Almost like watered down hot sauce. One last thing…. mozzarella cheese? Yes, the description said mozzarella, but a yellow Mexican mix would add a lot more depth.
