Theres a reason this place is always packed and trust me, its worth it! There are a TON of options and whatever you can dream up. I always leave extremely happy as they seem to go out of their way to make your day that much brighter. I love the voting tip jars. Always a fun this or that. The atmosphere is like a comfy little hangout. We go almost every week l.

I went to East Moline Coffee House today for the first time. The service and coffee were good.

Its on a corner with easy parking. Their patio (though it was too cold to go out today) was big enough but faces a fairly busy street so I wonder what the noise level is to have meetings outside.

Its a nice space but too much clutter at the counter area for me.

I love that these guys are open until 5p! It is my last stop before heading into 3rd shift some nights! One of my kiddos favorites is the You Matter drink! There is a Nerds drink that is also a fan favorite! My go to is pretty plain here but always spot on for keeping me awake and warm… Just a hot oatmilk latte with a little bit of brown sugar! I do wish they had some not-so-sweet treats or maybe a sandwich option . But their drinks are great!

I imagine this place serves the community well. I came around 4:15PM on a Tuesday. From the moment I ordered my cappuccino to getting my drink I think at least 8 drinks had passed through the counter. Most of them colorful ones.

I’m a bit of a purist when it comes to coffee, coupled with my first visit, my go to, to “judge” their drinks, is a cappuccino.

Without taxes or tip the cappuccino was $4.85. One of the more expensive caps I’ve ever purchased. I don’t mind paying, I’ll pay for a good cappuccino and I’ve had good cappuccino half the size of their 12oz. Which is their smallest size.

Unfortunately it was not tasty, theirs a style of roasting bean that, at times it’s hard to tell if the roaster burned the beans or intentionally wanted to make them very dark. That was this taste. Burnt.

It was like drinking a hot milk drink that was flavored with burnt coffee syrup or liqueur. It did not feel or taste like espresso and cappuccinos in general I like and am used to.

I love all of the latté recipes all over the wall! Especially, the Harry Potter-themed drinks that you can order at ANY time! I got the “Foxy Lady” (from Wayne’s World) with half flavor because I don’t like my drinks too sweet. It totally hit the spot! The coffee, itself, tasted pretty good. Seems to be nicely roasted with plenty of flavor. There’s a good amount of seating inside if you want to come do work or meet people. The staff was really quick even though there was a decent line. When I got up to the counter the barista thoroughly explained my options after finding out I was a first-timer. She was able to do this and still work on other drinks. That’s some skill! I really enjoyed EMC. I got my dog a pup cup so you know he approves!

Passing through on my way to Peoria I needed somewhere to stop to do some work for a bit while I had some coffee. I saw this one on the map with the high rating so thought I would give it a try. I’m always looking for somewhere new in the Quad cities as I often come here to do work.

The first thing that caught my eye going in was the “Live a Great Story” sticker on the mailbox, which happened to be the same as the shirt I was wearing. Good vibes already! I got my usual dark roast with a shot, Service was great and fast. As I sat working , I was able to see a flow of traffic coming through on a Friday late afternoon. Everybody seem to be happy with their experience, and while the baristas were often enjoying each other‘s company, which sounded like they were trying to get to know each other, as soon as customers came in, they were, right at it, helpful and friendly.

While I rarely get to this part of the Quad cities, I’ll have to bring my wife in when visiting my son at college as it has Harry Potter theme drinks listed on the wall and she’s a huge fan.

After a visit for lunch elsewhere in East Moline, I desired a place to grab a tea and relax for a bit. A quick Google search revealed East Moline Coffee Company was not far from my current location, so I decided to head there.

Not gonna lie, I definitely missed the place going south on Archer Drive and had to double back. That’s probably a little me not paying attention and partly the small profile of the building in which EMC resides. There’s a big yellow sign out front too, so again, partly issues with me.

The outside of the building is almost all new red brick. Up close, it looks really solid. The patio space on both the ground level and roof of the building also come into view too, however. I could definitely see returning here in warmer weather on the weekend to hang out for a bit to sip a beverage and relax.

The interior is, honestly, right out of what I’d dream of for a local coffee shop. There’s a variety of seating, but while there are some small tables and some high top seating, many of the available chairs are comfy looking. I expect one or two chairs in most places like this, maybe a sofa, but there are probably at least a dozen places that have more than your average plushiness. So great!

The overall aesthetic beyond this is pretty clean and nice, too. Newer hardwood laminate runs the floor throughout the space, with painted dark blue and white walls throughout. The solid ceiling provides a variety of lighting, including accent strips, florescent fixtures, and suspended lights in what appear to be mason jars. Below a large flat screen television close to the counter sits an electric fireplace – hopefully functional in the colder months. The whole of the interior is soft and warm and was quiet throughout my visit.

I chose a peach flavored black tea for my beverage, which was soon provided to me after ordering. I inquired with the baristas as to what company they get their loose leaf from – turns out the company is Divinitea, which I was not previously familiar with. I enjoyed this tea – it had the expected peach and citrus flavor and was otherwise mild and easy to consume. Definitely something I return for again.

The one thing I really want to come back for at some point are the available pastry and baked goods (I just wasn’t hungry during this visit). They have some pretty big cinnamon rolls and brownies available at the counter that look really yummy. Maybe on a return trip I’ll try one of them. I really like this place – I’m sad that it’s all the way over in East Moline, far from my home in Bettendorf. Thanks, EMC!

My first time here I purchased a Regular black Coffee it was fantastic. I revisit today but I was told they were closed, but one of the gentlemen came outside to greet me, with kindness he accommodated me by taking my order even though they didn’t have my preferred request he suggested some others the cinnamon sugar donut spice coffee I topped it off by trying a coffee muffin is flavorful and delicious. Great Job. I’ll be back and refer to others.

Great cozy atmosphere. Welcoming and friendly staff. Creative drink choices. Pop culture references. Let the baristas help you decide. Lots of options. Coffee is very smooth. Plenty of non coffee drinks and treats. My favorite new to me place. I love Lover or Jacob Black for flavors.

Great staff, super friendly and prompt to service. The drinks, however, are far from refined. Ordered a double shot with cream and brown sugar, received a Breve latte with a heap of sugar at the bottom. A lot of people prefer their drinks overly sweet in the QC area, but I expect baristas to be able to do the classics when needed.
