Delicious! Everything we ordered here during our 3 night stay was perfect! The food is not what you’d expect in a rural campground — it exceeded our expectations and we ended up eating most meals here. Our favorites were the buffalo pizza and all the salads. The soft serve ice cream was a nice ending to each night. Lone Fir’s food and the staff exceeded all of our expectations. Would highly recommend!

Great food and wonderful staff. I had a burger and it was legit one of the best I’ve ever had. Even the bun was amazing. Perfectly toasted and buttery.

The waitress was handling our table of 9 and 4 other tables plus the gift store and didn’t miss a beat.

Highly recommended.

Great food out in the middle of Bigfoot country. Lots of Bigfoot Souviners in the Gift shop. Friendly staff that accommodates for making most special requests. The Huckleberry Shake was Amazzzing, as was the BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger with Waffle fries, as I had one on Friday pre backpack trip and Sunday on the way home.

I agree with some other folks that I wanted to give a higher review if only it weren’t for the exorbitant food prices and being asked to pay for wifi, despite being a paying customer of the restaurant.

I ordered the grilled chicken avocado sandwich ($19.99) with cheese (an extra $0.99!) and subbed for fries instead of chips ($3.59!). I understand these are all personal choices and I don’t have to give my money to an establishment if I don’t want to but my lord the prices are extremely high here.

Our meal for two people, no appetizers, and a soda each, plus tip, was $70! If you’re looking for a cheap bite to eat, this place isn’t it.

I want to say good things about this place because the staff was friendly and helpful. But I want to point out the over priced food and the extra charges on top of the high prices. $2.00 for WiFi since there isn’t cell service in the area. $1.09 for a box for our left over pizza.

The food was good, for the most part, but was obviously prepackaged frozen burger patties and frozen chicken tenders. The pizza is great.
The wings were seriously lacking, having only a whispered hint of sauce waved over them.

Having a breakfast menu and not posting its time frame is pretty lame.

The perfect spot to prepare for, or recoup from your climb on St Helens. I loved the cozy atmosphere and they have a nice gift shop inside to peruse while your food cooks. Brie (with an “i”) 😉 is the best! She will recommend the Campfire Fries and you need to try them. If you want to eat somewhere that feels like home, and treated as family, this is the place!

Best wings I’ve EVER had and the camp fire fries were perfect. The jack Daniel’s milk shake was out of this world highly highly recommended! Our server Jeanette is so kind and personable and attentive and she made our 10/10 milkshake and her husband Jeff is the chef who made the world’s best wings. A lovely place, could not have chosen a better post St Helen’s summit meal!

Our server was horrible. First, I asked if they have a senior or kids menu. I had gastric bypass and ate small portions. I got a very blunt no. What I see is what I get. So I ordered the 2 eggs toast with hash browns, and I had the option bacon or sausage. I said bacon. I can’t stand sausage. As I started to ask for the hash browns to be a little on the Chips side, she asked my husband for his order and walked off. Our orders come. It’s not hash browns it’s potatoe cubes, and I have sausage. She was gone before I could say anything. When I did catch her attention. I let her know I had asked for bacon, to which she pulls her order. She is and starts pointing telling oh look it says you ordered sausage.” I said I’m sorry, but why would I order something I don’t like?” She started getting angry. I snapped. Told I was done arguing. Just please bring a side of bacon. I’ve been a server 26 years, never have I ever treated someone like this. She needs a different job. She has zero people skills. Photos below. One photo shows the potatos scraped off along with the sausage. And my side order of bacon

Definitely try everything on the menu! Located at Lone Fir resort in Cougar Washington. The menu is surprising in its choices and options, including gluten free and vegan. I had a vegetarian pizza. it was crispy on the bottom piled high with fresh veggies, and topped with fresh arugula! Spectacular.

2 restaurants in the area and I picked this one. Idk if I would again. Let’s start with the service. That was incredibly bad experience. The waitresses were awful. Literally passed us more than once and told me straight to my face they were going to do another table first even though I was already there 5 minutes before. Then our waitress finally came but before taking our order asked another table if they have been taken care of before ours again. Like felt like we weren’t even there. Ok now the food, the prices are way too high for the quality of the food that is offered. 20 bucks for a burger that comes with a small bag of chips. Just because you know you are one of the only restaurants in Cougar doesn’t mean rip people off. Then the waitresses wanted us to pay before we got our food because they were changing shifts and wanted their tip money ha last time I checked you earn a tip, you’re not entitled to it. Honestly with the service and price of the food you should tip me for stopping by. I was expecting a lot more but was surprised and disappointed I would. Would I recommend this place… no probably not, just make the drive back to Vancouver for better food.
