Took my daughter up to Ft Stewart & we stopped here to grab a bite to eat for lunch. We were quickly seated & attended by a waiter who was always checking on us at just the right time to refill our drinks and to bring me a to go box before I could even ask as I couldn’t finish the large portion I was given. I had the hibachi shrimp which was cooked perfectly & my daughter had the teriyaki chicken which she quickly scarfed down. It was a great value and absolutely delicious. I hope she needs me to take her back to Ft Stewart in the future so we can visit here again. I only wish that there was a nice place like this over in Kingsland.

This hibachi grill has been in this location about 10 years I’m told. I’ve been to a few hibachi grills and, not sure if this is the only “date night” nonchain establishment in Hinesville, but I’m not real impressed.
The first issue is I picked this place because I was also looking for sushi. Google maps filters showed this as an option. Wrong. They do not serve sushi, evidently for at least a year or more.
Also I’m going to assume here, but had a person at our table with mushroom allergy so the assumption is they cooked the zucchini and onion first without to accommodate, which is great, but was wondering why no broccoli or carrots either? Most hibachi I’ve been to have a few more veggies in the mix.
I was wondering when I first walked in why the burnt smell. I came to find out why… I think either the grills need a resurface or the heat needs adjusting because it seemed to burn ALOT of the food. A Lot. The chef had to scrape the grill constantly of burned foods.
The meal was still okay but I’ve had better.

I regret going to this restaurant for date night. We should have driven to Savannah or Pooler but we were tired. We were seated alone at a table behind our chef. The grill in front of us was not used. All of our food was made on the table on the other side so we completely missed out on the experience of this type of restaurant. We definitely didn’t feel included though the chef did try his best given the circumstances.
The lettuce in our salad was wilted and soggy.
All of our food except the rice tasted a bit burnt. It didn’t appear to be actually burnt but it was all very smoky tasting and not in a good or intentional way.
Our chef had 10 people orders on one grill and this made it impossible to do a good job on the rice because there was no room so there were just huge chunks of plain white rice mixed in. Our steaks were good, just a little burnt tasting even though mine was rare. Everything else was extremely underwhelming. Hard pass for the future.

The meal was great. It is exactly what you would expect from a Japanese steakhouse. The cook was conversational and fun. The helpings were good. The meal was affordable. My wife and I ate for under $45. One important tip is to order sweet tea. The sweet tea comes with free refills, but the soda does not.

Andy was a really good chef and I feel bad giving this place 3 stars only because of him…they had him working one grille serving four Family’s. The two Families adjacent to us didn’t have the food cooked in front of them…They just sat there with the Chefs back to them,no show, no food display…Andy had cooked their food on our grill and then served them from our side… I would’ve left…. I felt bad and tipped Andy well…they need to really step up the service and food options… if your a Japanese restaurant and you dont have Bochoy and bean sprouts as a vegetable then get it… like I said before Andy was an amazing chef and did very well with what he was given… BUT….The rice is nasty. Just push it to the side. No vegetables in it, just soy sauce. The Zucchini and onions are meh no flavor, large chucks, just plain… the meats are meat…the portions sizes are good … no garlic no cooking wine… just salt pepper butter & oil… was all they used… only one type of Sauce… no mini dipping bowls for your sauce…I’ve been to many Japanese Steakhouses… this one is sloppy,Fair at best, and only because they had a good Chef and Orion Asashi Sapporo beers and Sake… the soup was fair the salad was over drenched with dressing… I can go on and on…The place needs an upgrade in service, the menu, and ingredients.. they didn’t have lobster though it was on the menu.. ohh and no refills on soft drinks who does that…

Awful experience! For starters the grills are closed due to covid, which is understandable I get that every place has different policies but it was never mentioned on their FB page from what I can tell. It was never mentioned by the hostess or the waitress and there was no signs up stating so. They sat us down, let us order and let us sit there waiting for a cook to show up. Finally they just brought us our plates leaving us disappointed that no one was going to cook in front of us. The food was not brought out at the same time, they brought out a couple plates at a time with about 10 minutes in between and the food still didn’t taste fresh. They also didn’t have mixed drinks, ranch and sushi. I don’t know if they were out of it or if they just don’t offer those thing. But that’s pretty standard stuff for a restaurant like that. And worst of all they charged us the same price for the food even though nobody cooked in front of us. Half of the reason I pay the high price is because you get some entertainment along with it. Just overall a horrible experience and would go elsewhere.

I have been going to Kobe’s for 15 years now and they are great. I love the atmosphere and the people are great. They are truly like family and I will patronize them for as long as I can. Lisa is such a wonderful woman. She also works very hard. They are currently (7/20) short staffed and she made sure that the tables had all they needed. The only waitress is so sweet and works very hard to cover all of the tables. The food is delicious and cooked just perfectly. The chef that’s been there since day one is so funny and entertaining, I just adore him. I appreciate their kindness and professionalism.

The rice and veggies was warm and the shrimp was hot. The place is cold. The customer service was Okay. It’s rushed and they’re kind of impolite. The bathroom isn’t clean. They’re dishes is warn down. I should have left when she told me to go to Savannah instead, instead of them because they didn’t have the fire grill. They need to close down and Start over fresh. I will not come back again.

This place is awesome. The food is great. We’ve been here twice and helped by the same younger guy, he makes fun conversation and really brightens the table I have no complaints about the food or service, I only wish they had more chefs! We haven’t had a long wait, but you can tell the two chefs can get swamped as people pour in.

I’ve been going to this place for a long time and the owner knows my face. Today was very disappointing. We asked for no onions for two of the plates. The guy cooked the zucchini with onions and kept telling us next time and my wife and daughter were shorter on their vegetables. I asked for my steak medium rare and my wife asked for rare. He put our steaks on at the same time as the others and we ended up with hers 3/4 of it rare and the rest well done and over half of mine was well done. To top it off, when I was paying up front, the owner was only willing to talk to the cook about it and kept telling me to tell her right away next time. Didn’t offer to take anything off the bill or anything. It was very disappointing and I will not being going back. The family next to us had similar issues.
