Hidden Gem Alert!
We recently visited Velvet Elvis and wow, what an amazing experience! We ordered 4 delicious pizzas that were absolutely mouthwatering. To top it off, our Sauvignon Blanc and beer were chilled to perfection—just what we needed!
The staff was incredibly nice and friendly, making us feel right at home. We can’t wait to come back soon for more delicious food and great vibes!
Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in Patagonia!

What a pleasant surprise! We somehow ended up at the Velvet Elvis in Patagonia — amazing atmosphere and delicious food. The hibiscus margaritas were fantastic!

We were really excited to try this place after seeing so many positive reviews, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. For a pizza spot, the dough was a major letdown. The crust lacked structure and had no real bite to it, honestly reminding me of kid-style frozen pizzas. At these prices, I expected a much higher quality product. To make matters worse, the seating was very uncomfortable, with tables and chairs offering little to no cushioning. Overall, this experience fell short, and I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I’m torn writing this review. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the service. Did NOT love the pizza. Just came home from Velvet Elvis. Looked at the reviews after coming home because I was curious what people said about the pizza. The consensus is “the pizza is not good.” It’s all about the crust. That’s what makes a good pizza. I could be completely wrong, but my theory is they use all purpose flour, instead of bread flour. It makes a world of difference to use a high quality bread flour for pizza dough, and I’m just a regular home cook. If someone from Velvet Elvis sees this, just try a bread flour pizza dough recipe for a couple of days. I bet your pizza reviews will skyrocket.
Comment added 9/27/25. Well, guess my theory was wrong, according to the owner.

Beautiful place. The art on the walls and of course along with The Velvet Elvis gives the place it’s own kind of laid back vibe with a side of class. There is a nice little store inside for shopping also with a very nice person to answer all your questions. The servers were gracious and knowledgeable. There was also a beautiful place to sit outside. Not dog friendly. The food was delicious and filling. I would definitely go back.

Bad pizza. Great service. Phenomenal artwork and decor… Seriously it’s worth stopping in just to gawk and have a drink.
It cannot be forgiven that a place charging $65 for a specialty pizza that requires a two-hour notice can’t make a decent slice. Purely a “well if they’ll pay it I guess it’s worth it” level of grossness. Get real.

Delicious food, super friendly staff, and an amazing building. Really this restaurant is an absolute must if you are in the area! Portions are well sized so that you can get an app and a dessert. The staff were extremely helpful when one of our part members had a dietary restriction. Loved it, will totally go again next time I’m in town!
