La Lune | WA Good Food Guide
Reviews
La Lune is one of the best French restaurants in Fremantle, especially if you’re looking for a romantic date-night restaurant in Freo. Located on a quiet street, it’s easy to spot thanks to the charming outdoor seating and beautifully styled tables.
From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff were genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. We were looked after by a French waiter whose wine recommendation was excellent, adding authenticity and elevating the overall dining experience.
The ambience is warm, intimate, and relaxed, with a stylish crowd and a lovely street-side setting. Sitting outside with a glass of wine, watching people pass by and admiring Fremantle’s heritage homes, created a truly European feel.
We shared steak and olives, and the food quality was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavour, showing great consistency and attention to detail. For the quality of food, service, and atmosphere, La Lune offers excellent value.
If you’re searching for great service, romantic ambience, quality wine, and consistent French food in Fremantle, La Lune is a must-visit.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended.
The service, the food, the professionalism everything was outstanding from start to finish.
The food was stunning the table area was beautiful and we added some more flowers which made it even more special. The entire team was so kind, attentive and welcoming and we honestly couldn’t have asked for better service.
We can’t express enough how wonderful our engagement lunch was. We loved it!!!
If anyone is considering hosting an event here, I highly recommend it. It was an absolutely beautiful experience and we’re so glad we chose La Lune 10/10!!!
Can appreciate that not all restaurant advertise still water as a charge but in good faith, the waiter should offer “sparkling, still or tap” instead of just “sparkling or still”. Not a big problem, but I think customers should know the bottle charge is $5 or $2 pp (whatever the calculation is that came to $10 for a group of 5 to drink water).
Staff were nice. Waiter was professional. Front of house manager was a bit aloof and just grabbed the menus after I told him we had a reservation and walked into the dining area without even gesturing or asking us to follow. When we paid our bill he was just singing aloud and didn’t even ask us how our experience was. Some decorum and personal attention would make the experience better.
All in all, a good time but some things that should’ve been ironed out by now considering La Lune has been around for years.
We had the best time last night
The food was delicious, the service impeccable, the room and table setting exactly what I wanted for my party. Your team were so warm and welcoming, which allowed me to relax and really enjoy myself.
Compliments to your pastry chef – the chocolate cake was outstanding!
Thanks again to you Julie, Coco, Nathan and everyone at La Lune.
Highly recommend for a private function in their dining room
We ordered the Terrine Du Chef and Spring Ceviche for our entrees. I wanted to order the Wagin Duck but unfortunately it was not available. So for our mains we ordered the Spring Lamb Fillet and Fish of The Day.
For dessert we ordered the Creme Brulee.
Evey dish danced on my taste buds.
The service was excellent, the decor beautiful, and the food delicious.
I highly recommend visiting this French Bistro.
From the greeting on arrival (no booking) to the sample wine tastings and the suggested pairings with individual dishes, everything was fabulous.
The bouillabaisse was outstanding and Tarte Tartine perfect.
It’s not cheap, but good things never are. Is this the best french restaurant in Perth?
Probably…
