First time visiting Asahi. Arrived shortly after 5 pm. Was casually busy, but was seated immediately. Waitress was quick in starting a drink order and getting our order in. Our Hibachi Chef was pleasant and entertaining. We all had the hibachi chicken and everyone enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere. All the staff were polite and helpful. My family and I will definitely dine here again in the future.

First timer to this business. Dined in. Only sit-down customers at 5 pm on week day. The staff was super friendly and let us take our time ordering. The sushi was high quality. Appetizers fresh and flavorful. Hibachi was great! Everything priced right it my opinion. Next time I’ll try more of the sushi options. Seems like a hidden gem of Delaware.

We had dinner last night my family of four. It was recommended by a friend. We love hibachi and it’s one of those places we always spend birthdays at and get together. We decided to give this hibachi grill a go after being recommended to us to try it. Food was pretty good, soup was amazing! Salad was just okay nothing special. We compared it to House of Japan just further north of this hibachi grill. We were impressed with the soup, shrimp, and the steak was pretty good. It was a good experience. The problem we ran into was the cook filling to go orders right beside us while eating. It was almost like we paid to have to go orders made. He used the same rice and meat that we had grilled on our grill. We could understand why it made sense if they had over portioned to account for it but our rice portions were all small! Our meat portions were small too. Looking at the to go boxes directly beside us they were layered with rice. It was all fried rice and the same rice he cooked for us. It seemed super disrespectful and I don’t believe to-go orders should be filled while we are trying to enjoy OUR dinner. Good experience, won’t be back, slightly cheaper than house of japan but not even worth the few extra bucks saved.

Takeout People BEWARE: they force MANDATORY 18% tips on take out orders.
The food is good enough, but forcing a mandatory 18% tip after ordering should be a crime. If you need to bring in more money just raise menu prices, but adding in an 18% upcharge without even telling the customer should not be allowed.
Will not be returning!

Overpriced especially paying almost $4 in gratuity for sushi to go and I understand 18% gratuity for dining in – but in an economy where treating oneself to Japanese steakhouse is a luxury – Why am I being forced to pay $9 gratuity for $50 worth of food TO GO?? I went to Ichiban in Columbus for to go food and saved $15 on the hibachi food because they do not add on a 18% gratuity charge to your bill –
The filet mignon was also much better – I haven’t been to another Japanese steakhouse in a while and the difference in the quality of the steak was night and day. Won’t be coming back

What a great place to grab some amazing sushi and hibachi. My favorite sushi is the Crazy Shrimp. I have dined in, and ordered their take out at and food is always delicious. I usually choose to sit at a regular table when I just wanted a quick meal. When I want the complete dining experience I opt for a seat at the hibachi grill. Highly recommend.

I was in Delaware for work and was in the mood for hibachi. I heard great things about this place from friends and had to try it for myself. I started out with the Japanese dumpling which were pretty good. I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi. The portions were very filling. I always order extra fried rice so there’s enough for lunch or dinner the next day. The yum yum sauce here is delicious. My drink was always refilled before I had to order more and the cook was very funny and interactive.
