Was it bad? No. Was it good? Also no. It was kinda bland. The service was slow and it wasn’t busy. Ran out of drink, took forever to get wait staff back to the table. The fish was a bit oily. The mermaid drink was actually very good which is why it’s 3 stars instead of 2.

A three only because the food was amazing. Service was terrible. 3 different servers… one kept passing off to another… food placed in front of us without a word and than walked away. Definetly were treated like we didnt matter. Asked for cocktail sauce.. never received. They were no where near busy. The chef deserves all the tips. Food was great.

What a gem! The seafood was fresh and delicious, portions were generous, and prices were reasonable. The food is freshly prepared while you wait, the Mac n cheese is to die for (not boxed but homemade). The fried seafood platter for $20 is amazing, lightly breaded (you can’t pick it off). Key lime pie tart and smooth. No, it is not trendy looking, but it is clean, and the service (Grace) is friendly and efficient.

For several months, the pier, located in beautifully historical Culpeper Virginia, has been under New Management. Four friendly professional young ladies have taken over. The ambiance ,food, and service are greatly improved. No , that’s an
understatement: The food is delicious!
Enthusiasm, open smiles, off the hook good food all wrapped in Culpepper’s unique hospitality, with a sophisticated twist , the Pier seems to have it all.
There’s more. Music: jazz, country, a little bluegrass, rock, hip hop, and great crowds with room to dance.
Wine and dine night, music trivia, karaoke, open mic, pizza, Toccos, and professionally prepared FRESH SEAFOOD EVERYDAY.
Seasoned entertainers sitting in with some exceptionally talented local musicians. You owe it to yourself to go to the pier; order some killer food and/or your favorite cold beverage. Aspiring entertainers give it your best shot on open mic night or just Sit back, enjoy a great meal with your beverage of choice . I did just that on open mic night and was absolutely amazed by the entertainment, especially the emotional and heartfelt delivery of a young blues singer , that, by the way, is not at all hard on the eyes. Hungry or just looking for a great place to go out for the night, get in your car, or take a train ride ( the restaurant is just yards from the historical Culpeper train station) and get yourself down to the pier; great food, diverse entertainment genre, friendly professional management. I really liked this place . Hopefully, you will, too.

Stopped in on a lark for lunch. The food is delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. The pick two option of crab cluster and fish was perfect. The crab was so sweet. The fish and chips were plentiful and perfectly prepared. Definitely worth it. We will definitely return!

Our experience at Davis St Pier was okay. We tried both the raw oysters and the fried oysters. Copper Fish down the street has a better selection.

First time eatting there. I think its more of a place to have drinks then to eat.Had a bar and a long eatting/ drinking counter. And a few booths along the windows I think they have bands play. We sat in a booth. We just went for dinner, got the crab dip, got it with bread and chips. We prefer the bread had a good taste but the crab meat was very blended like on the mushy side. So my wife got the 2 she got shrimp and crab cake but it was $10 extra for the crabcake. So that made it about $20 for one crabcake $20 I’d expect lump crab meat had a good taste but the crab meat was kind of mushy like the crab dip. I got Shrimp and fried fish. We both liked the fried shrimp, large and great flavor. The fried fish was really good too. I have to have good tartar sauce chopped onion & relish there’s more or less just a sweet mayonnaise not very good. FF were good think homemade and hush puppies were really good. We did get quite full had to take a doggy bag home. Bill came to $89

Out of towners looking for something other than fast food. We arrived around 1:30pm and when we walked it was empty except for a few people at the bar. It did have a cigarette smoke smell that was off-putting. It initially seemed as though it’s more of a bar than a restaurant. We stayed and had lunch and I’m glad we did. The food came out fast was good, the portions were large and the price was decent. We got the crab dip appetizer, my husband ordered the fish and chips, he says the fish was good, lightly breaded and seasoned good, I got the crab clusters and a crab cake which also came with fries. Our bill was $50. The waitress was fantastic, attentive, and very nice. As we were leaving she addressed a patron that entered and he was shocked that she remembered what he ordered and what he liked about his meal and how he ordered his oysters, as this was only the second time he had been there and the first time had been a few weeks prior. All in all I would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch.
