Excellent food and service. How many times have you ordered Tea and it tasted like muddy water, not here! Fresh Tea, chicken fried steak was meat and not all batter. Froed Okra, what can i say when you order another serving.

I was introduced to this spot by the Osteens. Our waitress name was Alex, and she very politely and descriptively explained the menu to me since it was my first time. I pulled the trigger on the chicken fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes and fried okra. It did not disappoint!

We tried this little cafe out based on the reviews. It did not disappoint. The service was great. It didn’t take long to get our food. The portions were big. The food tasted great other than the hash browns being a little burnt. The coffee tasted good. We’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I decided to eat lunch there yesterday (10-17-25). We both got the larger portion, chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and onion rings. There is a senior, 4 ounce, portion for a lesser price. Right off the bat, my wife noticed that the potatoes looked like they were reheated leftovers as was the gravy. The onion rings and steak looked like they had been fried in old, dirty oil. The chicken fried steak did not look like 8 ounces to me, unless, you weighed it with the breading. I think I got 4 onion rings and one was very small. For $14 you’d expect a roll or toast, but Texas toast is a dollar extra. We ate the food, but decided that we would definitely try something else the next time we came there. However, that all changed when we paid our tab. They charged us each a dollar extra for water without telling us upfront that there would be a charge. It possibly was on the menu, but I didn’t look, because NOBODY CHARGES FOR WATER! For the record, this was tap water, not bottled water. Well, they should consider the water charge a farewell gift from us. We won’t be back.

I always drove by this place on Hwy 19, but never at the right time. This time I made it and it was a really good, hot meal at a decent price. I’ll definitely have to make it a point to stop in again. I’ll always support local and I will be back for sure. Eating good in the East Texas hood!

One of the best small town dining places in the area, they prepare your food fresh and to order. Customer care and service is good. Prices are surprisingly decent for being out away from town and competition.

What a great little place to stop and eat. The service was awesome & their menu has a lot of choices. The El Diablo burger is . I suggest asking for the sauce on the side. Nice restrooms, good tea and big rockers on the front porch to relax in.

Disappointed. Came for a late breakfast and the place closes at 2 so like most other spots you would assume breakfast would still be served all day..nope…ordered the burger with egg and hash browns on it. Was very upset that I wasnt asked how to cook my egg and it was honestly one of the most tasteless, flavorless burgers I’ve ever had. Can’t say I want to give it a second chance.

What can I say…this place is AMAZING!!!
The service is excellent and the owners take great care to ensure the guest is taken care of. The food was exceptional! My party enjoyed Burgers cooked perfectly, Chicken Fried Steak as good as it gets and a Taco Salad that was very fresh and seasoned perfectly. The sides were abundant and diverse. Awesome onion rings.
