I came and ordered a drink (Boba) before going to Depalmas for dinner and the service was IMPECCABLE, they treated me like royalty! There was a drink I was recommended that I didn’t like and the lady behind the counter remade it for me, free of charge, these people will take care of you! I went to Depalmas and they wouldn’t even serve us bc we were black, but this place handled me with care! Black/Bi-racial friendly! No matter your skin color this place will serve you happily!

Awesome family owned business. Worth the wait (if there is one) because I know the owners are preparing my order themselves. I have been coming here for 15+ years. These guys know your name when you walk in and are excellent at what they do. I immediately come here when I arrive back in town and get the teppanyaki steak with a Tuscaloosa roll.

If you want good sushi, this is the best place I’ve found in town. The pace isn’t super big, but they work at a good pace. We ordered the crab Rangoon (which was fine but could be a bit more filled) which was brought to us by a robot . We had four types of sushi: California, Louisiana, salmon and tuna. They were all very tasty and balanced, I haven’t had sushi this good in town. And their lunch special made it a pretty good deal! Would definitely recommend this place.

I searched for sushi with a 4.0 or better rating and decided to try this place for the first time since it had a great review number. We walked in and discovered we had to order our food from a kiosk (should have been the red flag to go) but decided to give it a try. The place was very small and almost dinner like vise a resturant style environment. Once we ordered and sat down, it took a while for the drinks to come (whichever were delivered by the staffs child who wasnt any older than 10, I would say). The soup and salad came out next. The salad was just lettuce (no carrot, purple cabbage or anything) and dressing. The soup was very disappointing and lacked any flavor. Then the food came out. My wife ordered the chicken teriyaki. It came with no veggies and tasted more like BBQ sauce. I will say the chicken was cooked well though. I ordered 4 sushi rolls. The “Sunday Morning roll”, Rock-n-Roll and 2 “Crispy Crabs”. The only roll that was even partially ok was the R-n-R roll. The other 2 had a sour taste and all 4 rolls were very loosely rolled to where they fell apart. I hate to be so negative but this place should not even be in a 2.0 or above rating. Apparently the campus kids have no real taste for good sushi.

I can’t believe I’ve never left a rating! This has been my favorite restaurant in Tuscaloosa for several years. My whole family loves it. This is a small family owned business. The service is great, the team is warm and Ichiban is a staple in the community.

Food was quite good. Service was a bit slow. Delivery robot was fun. I had the Tapanyaki shrimp bento box. Shrimp and crab rangoons were very good. Salad and fried rice were ok. My wife had tempura shrimp and tempura veggie bento box and said the food was quite good. The edamame app was very tasty as was the fried gyoza. Strawberry green tea with strawberry popping boba was excellent.

A nice, laid back authentic Japanese experience. The nigiri and sashimi are amazing here, and your food is brought out on a little robot, which is a fun novelty.

I really really like this place. The sushi is super fresh and the poke bowls are awesome! I do wish the food came out a little quicker; it was a pretty long wait both times we were here. That being said, I have ZERO experience making sushi, so it might be a perfectly acceptable amount of time and I just don’t know it. Wait or no wait, we will eat there again. Also, random, a little robot brings you your food and that cracks me up every time.
