We were the only people in the restaurant. Our server came to our table very quickly. When asked if we wanted anything to drink we discovered that they were out of wine and out of beer on tap. We stuck with water.
The food was good but not memorable. Once we received our food, our waitress sat at a table across the room hanging out with the other waitress. Nobody ever came by our table to see if we liked the food or needed anything. Im not really sure if we will go back.

Friendly service. Calm and relaxed atmosphere. Generous portion sizes for the price. My beef fajita nachos were swimming in meat! Fajitas with a side of nachos. Thankful for my free chips and salsa that came with the meal, it balanced out perfectly. Me and my husband went in before close and I’ve never had a meal come out with such haste. Was thinking about everything id get next time I come. Empty plates all the way, want to see what it looked like when it came out, come see for yourself. 10/10.

Now everyone needs to come here. This place has amazing food and service. I’d been here serval times but never had chance to write a review. Well I had the fajitas another day and those were good. The menudo as well. Let say if you haven’t been here please stop take time out enjoy relax and have some good food. So let me say something about those mole enchiladas I will be back for those again that is on top of the list and my daughter didn’t get enough of them I had only a bite that did it for me. Enjoy!!!

What can I say? If you’re gonna bad mouth your competition and say you are better in every way, well you should at least have good salsa; It was very salty.
The rice and beans were ok. The “Tejas BIG Burrito” was smaller than a fast food’s $3 burrito without any of the taste. The chicken in it was tasteless, and that was all that was in the burrito. The same chicken went into all the other chicken dishes we ordered. Blah.
When they asked me what I thought I had to be honest and asked who the manager was. I was told it was the person who said they were so good. So I asked who owned the restaurant? And was told it was the cook. Well after my review I expected the owner to come out and talk to me, instead everyone on the staff poked their heads out from the back and those out front got angry with me.
Hahaha I really thought it was funny, a simple, I’m sorry you felt that way, from the cook or something would have been fine. But nothing. I asked the bus boy which I think might be related, if he mentioned it to the chef/owner, and he said “yes”. So I asked if he cared? And the bus boy , shrugged his shoulders and said “not really, everyone has their own opinion”
I could go on but, why?
Now I understand why the competition has more business.

OK… How did I not know about this restaurant?? This was our first time here and let me tell you it will definitely not be our last! I am always on the search for the best Mexican shrimp cocktail and I finally found one that is not sweet! The margaritas are legit! With a tajin and Chamoy rim option!!?? Even better! Also, on Friday nights, you can find live music next door in the square and grab a margarita to go. The salsa was amazing! And I am a HUGE chips and salsa gal. Everything was fresh and delicious. The bathrooms are super clean, and the staff is very, very friendly. 10/10 would recommend.

Great flan (best in the metro area I know of)! Good margaritas and traditional tex-mex foods. Saturday Margarita & Beer happy hour specials are the best. Good lunch deal prices too. To go flan is still just as good. Also, their to go frozen margaritas are good (strong and straight from the machine, just make sure to put in your trunk way from the driver).
GREAT street tacos, highly recommend! Beef and chicken are both excellent! Beef is steak and chicken is excellently flavored.
Staff is excellent and good seating/atmosphere.
Love this place on Saturday nights! Good for bigger groups too.

In reading some of the more recent reviews, I am totally shocked. But I can’t speak for them, I can only speak for my family and I’s experience. This is actually the second time we’ve been here. The first was for my brother in laws b-day and the second was yesterday. The other time we with a big party, this time it was just my wife and seven year old and I. We weren’t familiar with the “pick a seat” thing. But woman came out and said it is. Which was fine. We sat down and looked over the menu. We took a little longer to order but the waitress was very understanding. We gave her our drink order then our food. I ordered the Guanajuato enchiladas del pollo, my wife ordered the Yucatán chicken enchilada. My son got the chicken nuggets and fries. I dug into mine so quick I wasn’t able to get good photo. But did take one of the taco that came with it. Everything was so good. From the chicken enchiladas to the rice and beans. My wife got charro beans with hers and the were good as well. Not a single bad thing to say. Will definitely be making another trip here. It seems others had a bad experience, I can’t speak for that. This was ours. And it was great.

This is my favorite downtown Royce City spot. The food isn’t really authentic Mexican food, but more like perfect TexMex, and I love it like that. The servers are always really busy but they get your food out fast and they have always brought what I ordered correctly. I will definitely be back.
