I used to spend three hours one-way just to get to Jackson Heights for good desi food but now I come here. It is super authentic, the food and the atmosphere. It’s so hot in here, it actually feels like Pakistan. No A/C, just vibes. So if you’re looking for the full experience, this is your spot.

They improved their interior with beautiful decorations and live plants which I loved. Breakfast buffet on weekends is wonderful with fresh pori and naan and parathas. Yummy!!!!

ONE WEEKEND. TWO RESTAURANTS. TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORIES. ️
STORY ONE:
Walked into Khurasan Kebab and ordered the Khorasani platter and WOW. The meat was juicy, perfectly cooked, and so fresh, it melted in my mouth. But here’s the real kicker:
the owner, Mehar, was incredibly humble and gracious. The food spoke for itself, but his hospitality sealed the deal. I walked out having just booked $160 worth of catering on the spot. That’s how you win customers for life!

STORY TWO: The Disaster

Now buckle up for this one…
Stopped at Khan Baba on US Route 130. Ordered two boxes of rice to go and asked to try their BBQ. What did they offer me? Old, FROZEN items so Ichanged my mind. When I asked for fresh BBQ, they claimed they were “super busy” meanwhile, I was literally the ONLY customer there. No line. Empty seats. Just excuses.
Their “promotion about10 dollars chicken”?
Order in advance, pick up Thursday only. For $10 chicken. Seriously?
The worst part? I gave them a chance anyway. Brought the food home. The Malang Jaan lasted exactly ONE MINUTE before it hit the trash. The seekh kebab especially the beef followed right behind it. ️
(No photos for Story Two because I’m not documenting garbage.)

THE LESSON: Fresh food and genuine hospitality will always win. Stale food and attitude will always lose.

The bbq is really good but they bring it out slow on purpose. It kills your hunger. Therefore, I feel the buffet on Friday evenings is not worth the money. The taste is always good though, and they also always bring out the Chapli kebab first which fills you up because its deep fried. They’re very strategic about how they serve the barbecue. then you have to keep asking them to bring the next item and they don’t bring it out for ages.

Also, they make a big face if you ask for something twice. It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet so that makes no sense.

If the rating was solely on the flavor, They would have a five star.

Their service deserves maybe a two star.

This place feels like a quaint little restaurant in a country side village even though its in a busy area. I love the ambience of the place, it felt like a romantic little place for a date night or family meal. The customer service was amazing and I recommend the detox juice, which was surely refreshing as it is now getting warmer. The food was delicious, my husband got tandoori chicken and I got fish and chips. Truly halal, freshly made and affordable. My husband and I will definitely be returning.

The best Pakistani Indian place. The Khan Sahib is really the best host. I really like this is my go-to place for lunch. Don’t worry about the look and feel. The food is 100% authentic. And I asked them to make it fresh.

BE CAREFUL WITH THEIR BILLING PRACTICES. I ordered take out and food was good but the owner is cheater. He charged me for way more than what I had ordered and since it was big order I didn’t really verify. It was my mistake but this is for all to be careful with their billing practice.

Khan Baba is a must try. They have many menu items to choose from. Their chicken quesadillas are the best I’ve had! The refreshing drinks pair well with the delicious and savory food. Great and speedy service!

The guy in the front office, he has some hearing issues or seems arrogant to customers, he never responds to any question. Very lethargic & lazy.
Owner is very good gentleman, seems he is not coming to the store nowadays.
