Complimentary hot tea came out first. We ordered the garlic cucumber, scallion pancakes w/ beef slices, pork soup dumplings as the apps. Everything came out quick (maybe bc we were the only ones there), but we DEVOURED everything and it was sooo good.
For entrees we got the Taiwanese pork chop w/ rice, and Shredded Pork w/ Preserved Cabbage Noodle Soup? (雪菜肉丝面 in Chinese). Both were solid, especiallyyy the broth of the noodle soup, but all the appetizers were must-haves. The pork chop was fried nicely and was crispy.
I should also mention that the quality of the food isn’t particularly good here (I ordered here over a period of 3-4 years for lack of better options). I highly recommend Spy C, which is much tastier and better quality.
We came to celebrate my birthday since it’s nearby and I had a craving for soup dumplings.
The service was not like before and the woman who took care of us had an attitude. It seemed like she had a lot of to go orders to prep but that shouldn’t affect her attitude towards dine in customers.
My major complaint was not about the service but about the soup dumplings. We ate a total of 6 orders of soup dumplings which included one truffle flavored one. We agreed that the truffle flavor was a lot less than when we had them previously so we didn’t order more. The most disappointing thing as you can see in the photos were that the dumplings were placed haphazardly in the baskets and they stuck together. So what happens when we separate them? They broke and soup leaked all over! Thats the last thing we want when eating soup dumplings. Every basket came out like that. I don’t know what they were thinking.. they just didn’t care at all.
This used to be my go to for celebrations but I don’t know if I’ll return.

This is my family’s go to place for soup dumplings in Queens without having to go into Flushing. You can’t go wrong with the soup dumplings!
We also ordered rice cakes, crispy chicken and the pan fried soup buns on our last visit and while the rice cakes were delicious, I wouldn’t order the chicken or pan fried buns again. Chicken had no flavor and the buns had a very thick outside with not enough flavor inside.
Service is always great and if you pay in cash for a $35+ check, you get one order of soup dumplings free. 4 stars for other menu items but def 5 stars for the soup dumplings!
